    Sleeve vs bypass

I had two hernias and they weren't a issue. My recovery was probably a bit harder. I'm 5 weeks out now and feeling good! Good luck!
  2. Ok so I am a month post op tomorrow. I've been doing great. However on two occasions I've had this heavy feeling in my chest and it feels like I could throw up but I don't. It's really uncomfortable. Both times it was about 2 hours after I ate. I don't think I ate too much because it was basically 2 oz of solid protein. Anyone experience anything like this? And if so what can you so to help alleviate symptoms? Thank you!

    Bored with broth ????

How's it going? I feel pretty good. Are you hungry at all? I'm not hungry but miss eating...I know it's mental.

    Bored with broth ????

I can have anything that could be drank through a straw. So I can have purée I guess but not real sure what to make? I've had pudding and jello and broth lol. I'd like to expand my repertoire.

Ok what are you all talking about? Please explain, bc I was just sleeved and slime and foam was not listed as a side effect.

  8. K I'm a week out of surgery. I am still on liquids and getting bored. Any fantastic creations?
  9. Ok....tomorrow is the big day! I'm seriously having major anxiety even though I'm super excited for the surgery! Just scared I guess of what life will be like from now on...
  10. Omg thank you so much for all of the replies! I feel so much better already!
  11. Well I cannot believe I have less than a week to go before surgery! I am really nervous about what it is like when you wake up from surgery. Did you have catheters? Drainage tubes? Tubes in nose or throat? Just wondering how common these things are or if they are uncommon. Thanks!
