Too much fun. I'm glad I went back to work this week (teacher) to keep me out of the stores, lol.

I love tracking the obesity "classes." I'm working on my next goal of 180 right now, which would mean "overweight" 8 pounds to go :)

It was only 5 months ago I was doing the same thing. I remember feeling all excited/nervous because it was finally my time :) Good luck. I'm sure it will be great. I went into it with a similar attitude and it really makes things so much easier to handle.

  5. If I'm too embarrassed to record it on MyFitnessPal, perhaps I should not be eating it.

So true. The thought of having to put some stuff in MFP has stopped me a time or two ;)

Does it ever. I got through my 3 week stall in about 10 days. It felt like forever. When my body was ready it started moving again, although when you're in it, it doesn't feel like it will ever get going again. Sorry you're there right now, but you will get through it.

I was constantly hiccuping my first few weeks. I'm 6 weeks out now, and it's been easing up.

  9. TO-DO AND DON'TS.....IS there anything I should to before surgery? Any items I should purchase? especially for someone like me who LIVES on a paycheck to paycheck basis? what are the things I should do before I go to surgery anything???

I tried to be super prepared for surgery and ended up buying things I didn't end up using. I was glad to have gas-x strips though and some form of clear protein. I bought some isopure. There are some flavors that are good and some that are not so good. To me the best was Passion Fruit and Alpine Punch, but if you have a store that will let you sample before you buy that would be the best. Best of luck to you!!

  10. I had 1.5 ounces of tuna salad for lunch! I'm so excited for real food! WOOOO!

I had my first food today, too! I had frozen a little ham from Christmas. I kept telling my husband I couldn't believe I ate ham. Yay for chewing!

  11. Im VERY discourged right now! Iwas told by my Dr that i need to be down 12-20 pounds before my surgery and Im only down 10. His asst has told me that he is known for postponing surgeries if the required weight isnt off. Not to mention my surgery date is Wed. 31st and i ran outta protien shake and went and bought isopure and it is GROSSSSSSS. Cant even stomach the smell. I dont know what to do. Maybe stressing will cause the weight to fall off !! Any suggestions?? Oh, also bought a whey protien and its way too sweet! Feel like im wasting money, and the shake from my dr is 65.00

You're so close with a few days left! Just push hard, do what you need to do, and follow the plan. That way even if you don't get the last two pounds off beforehand, you'll know that you did everything you can. I would say it's possible, especially on a liquid diet. Walmart has some pretty inexpensive shakes called EAS advantedge that have 17g each (not as much as my dr's shakes, but better than nothing), and taste ok. I'd go with the vanilla or the dark chocolate if you are sensitive to the sweetness. BEST OF LUCK! Don't get down. 10 pounds is awesome.
