11 months out. Just ran my 4th 10K!
Inspirational. I am working up the nerve to do my first 5K this coming spring, to Celebrate my first year anniversary from my sleeve. I am trying to encourage my sister and nephew to join me, she had her sleeve one year before me, and my nephew had his done 4 months after me. Thanks again!

@@treck1200 I think we all have our long fought battles with weight loss, the final straw for me, was my dad, having his triple bypass on new years eve last year (my mom died several years earlier, from complications of her open heart surgeries). It was the yo yo dieting and weight loss, and gaining the weight back. I feel most people are supportive and sites like this can be a plethora of information and support. Additionally, I feel weight loss surgery isn't an excuse or cop out or failure, on one's decision, it is a adjunct, a tool to meet one's goals. Good luck on your journey...

I agree, I've hit a stall that is about 6 weeks long. Down about 89 pounds, 13 more to my goal... with determination and the sight of my goal weight only about 13 pounds away... I will strive to work harder, watch what I eat and Celebrate those small milestones in my Quest to become a healthier, lighter and happier me!!! Good luck to you all, on your journeys!!! We didn't do this for the instant gratification, we did this for a lifelong desire to be better, have better and enjoy better, the smaller things in life!!!- Question
Are you drinking enough fluids??! Fiber?? I get bloated if I don't have a BM, so I take metamucil daily. Since you are already aware of a hernia... Might be time to fix it, to see if that corrects your problem as well.- Question
Tums is certainly a good choice, as it has some benefit of providing Calcium. I would also try some gasex or symethicone to help with any possible gas, which can certain increase the pressure in your stomach and then causing your pain. If it doesn't resolve with simple OTC remedies, please seek MD consultation. Good luck!- Getting Ready

@@jacobjohnson76 I had the VSG in March of this year. I don't regret my decision, I do just wish I would have done it earlier. I turn 50 in January and hope to reach my goal by my birthday.... Good luck on your journey!- Head Rolls/Folds
The answer is simple... Yes... down 87 pounds and the back of my neck fold is gone... bald is beautiful... right????- disappointed with self
@@paulatoney several of my friends have hit some serious stalls and the frustration is understandable. First, I would have a chat with your doctor and Secondly, I would talk with your dietitian. The common thing that I've heard is, try going back on your pre-op diet and then slowly advance to your weekly diet plans of liquids, full liquids, pureed, soft foods. This longer process helps to reset your metabolism and weight loss. As others have said... stay away from the things you KNOW are bad from you! Good luck on your continued journey! - Me Over Time
