If you are having port pain, gallbladder pain, and a band too tight your first priority needs to be seeing your surgeon immediately. I'm not trying to scare you, but walking around with a band too tight for 4 years is just begging for a major slip. I guarantee the cost of having your band removed entirely because of neglect would be far more expensive than the cost of an office visit and a slight unfill.
Bands too tight can also cause weight gain, btw. Yet another reason to get into your surgeon.
    Best wishes.

I'm really relieved you're going to see your doc. Don't be embarrassed you've stayed away, rather be proud you're regaining control of the situation.
As far as food when traveling, I find using the Lose It app for Android a godsend. It's a really easy way to track food, including fast food and restaurant food. I don't travel nearly as much as you do but when I'd be lost without it when I do.

Thanks, I will be going to see him in the next month. I am actually embarrassed, I think thats why I haven't other than not having the $. I know I can do better but I start and stop. The pain at the port sight is weird, i honestly think it flipped about 2 years ago . It feels different... If I eat to much and don't throw up my side hurts like hell. Stop eating to much right! lol Well I will give the doc a call tues I hope he doesn't chew my arsss to much.. Any advice on food and measuring on the road? I have Protein Powder but I have a hard time with the texture.

In response to the one question, the first band was 5.5 years ago.....To "Mean Jean!".....As a contributing editor, I find your attempt at humor quite putrid, to say the least..How do you know all the details of my weight loss and surgeries, and as only one example, the meds I had to take after the surgeries, and what they caused???...Are you a surgeon too?.....In a subject as delicate and individualistic as weight loss with so many variables, your "assumptions" are quite erroneous, and based on your false perceptions!....Attempting to "make fun of someone" is "not" fitting for a so called editor!....FE FI FO FUM....YOU THINK YOU'RE SOMNEONE!....ALAS, YOU'RE NOT!

Thank you for the words of encouragement, KekeBoo:-) I have to admit, he first two weeks after surgery, I was exhausted when I would take just a short walk. I'm a therapist, so unfortunately I sit in a chair much of the day. My staff is starting to make jokes about how much I get up and randomly walk around the inside of the building several times a day now. As soon as the snow melts, my daily walks with my little doggie will increase significantly too.

Are you walking every day? That is a huge help to the recovery process. I started out the day after I got home and walked to the end of my driveway and back or around my dining room table. I worked my way up to around the block. It sooo very important to keep moving. Everyday, have a plan and stick to it. I find making daily menus and routines helps.
Enjoy the journey, it's gonna be hard and sometimes discouraging. But if you fast forward life and can see the end result...it will be so worth it.
