It will coat your esophageal tract and make drinking easier

  5. Good Morning everybody! Today I am officially 3 weeks post op. Hw 305, Sw 286, Cw 271. Loss since surgery 15. Total loss 34. I can officially start soft foods, but getting enough protein is my struggle. It is getting better. I am not discouraged and I am learning to listen to what my body is saying.
  6. Today was my first time. It is better than having your chest burn and heaving. I admit I absolutely hate throwing up, but would have been more miserable if I didn't
  7. I am officially on soft foods and have thrown up for the first time since my surgery. It was extremely tender fall apart pork. 2 very small well chewed bites. Didn't matter, pouch says not yet

My incisions are doing well. My 3 port sites are healed. My 2 drain sites are mostly healed. My doctor orders an ointment from a compounding pharmacy for scar management that I am using also.

    African American RNY Sisters

Relentless you have us! They are probably nervous. However, if they think this is the easy way out, they are sadly mistaken. This is definitely one of the hardest things I have done. Rentlentless, none of us have chosen wls as our first resort. This is definitely our last resort. We have tried diets, pills, exercise, both healthy and unhealthy. We have been hopeless, depressed and alone. Don't let anyone take your joy and determination from you

Hello, i am 16 days post OP. I did not start my vitamins until a week post OP. The liquid diet is killer, but it truly sets you up for post OP when you are clear liquids only. I cheated a couple of times with high protein items, like a piece of grilled chicken breast. But only like 3 times in 14 days and not at all 5 days out.

I am so sad! Greeneyed Girl inboxed me and told me. Our surgery was the same day and we both had our gall bladders removed as well. My doctor told me that my gall bladder was bad and was well under my liver and full of rocks, however, I am still here by the grace of God. My prayers to her family. This is a very serious procedure! I am so sad.
  15. I go to soft foods on Sunday from puree ( I have actually been kind of doing soft foods) I had a hard time with puree. food has to look appetizing. With the exception of mashed potatoes with gravy or soupy refried Beans with a little guacamole, I just chopped my food real fine and put it in a sauce. My biggest challenge is not eating a drinking at the same time. I am constantly thirsty and it seems like only SF popsicles satisfies my thirst. Other than that, I am great!

Give your opinion to tell or not

I had my surgery April 15 too. Congratulations on your new life!
  17. How much did you lose before surgery. You look wonderful. Dont give up this race is a marathon, not a sprint. Trisha

    Stall early on?

I am very guilty of the "living by the scale" lifestyle. I said to myself today, i was gonna get a tape measure. When the scale is sitting still, you may be losing inches
  19. We are on the same journey! I am a week and 2 days post OP. I went back to work half days on Tuesday. Let's do this!
  20. It was definitely hard to use. But i appreciate your efforts
