  1. I haven't been on since my appointment last Thursday, but after sedating me and doing a Fluro they found out my port got pushed up and flipped. So he during that he put me to sleep, fixed and filled it! I am so happy we got it all fixed, I've lost 12 pounds since last surgery and I feel great! My port is much more noticable because he moved it up and put some mesh around it so it will stay in place. We are pretty sure it happend from me working because I doo a lot of bending over counters and reaching and bending, so I am on light duty for a month, but that's ok because I don't want to go through that again. I am so excited for my follow up with him this coming Friday. I think I might need it filled just a lil more, but I will discuss that with him then. Thanks to everyone who commented and gave me suggestions on my post about not being able to find my port, it helps knowing tat some people have the same issues. I hope know everything goes good from here on out and I can be on here more. I really love this website, it helps so much. Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

    Can't find my port

Yeah, I'm kinda hoping he does something like that to help try and find it, but it sounds like this next visit is just more guessing and searching. I'm kinda scared now.

    Can't find my port

We tried laying me on a pillow and putting a pillow under my back. He tried tilting the bed up and down and laying it back and forth but no luck. I was just so upset from the pain and I was really looking forward to it. I am praying that we have better luck next week.

    Can't find my port

Yeah, we tried laying me on a pillow and putting a pillow under my back, he tried moving the bed up and down tilting me different ways and nothing. I was just hurting and upset because I wad really looking forward to it. I sm praying it works next time!
  5. I went for my first fill yesterday and he couldn't find my port! After several attempts he stopped after he hit a nerve. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain but it started hurting so bad that it brought tears to my eyes. He gave me a script for pain meds and Valium and wants me to come back next Tuesday and take them before I go and try again. His nurse, who has the band also, was very surprised and said this has only happened once in his office in the five years she has worked for him! I am very worried! Has this happened to anyone?

  8. I am 5 days post-op and I have already lost 17 pounds since my pre-op appointment. I am reaching out for suggestions on how often I should check my progress/weight, I don't want to become obsessed with, or worse case, be dissappointed.
  9. Hi my name is Adrienne, I am 35 years old and I live in Missouri. I am 5 days post-op, I had my surgery March 27th 2014. I weighed in at 357 on my pre-op appointment and today I weighed in at 340. I am do excited to start this new chapter in my life. I have been overweight pretty much my whole life, I am ready for a change. I have had a few freinds who have had the Lap-Band and some have been really succesful and some not so much. I did a lot of researching and decided that it would be what was best for me. My doctors name is Dr. T. Kido, he is GREAT, he is very nice and answers all my questions that he can. My friend suggested sigining up for one of theses sites, she said it helped her get through some rough days. I am really looking forward to meeting new friends taht are going through or have gone through the changes.
