  1. We seem to be in the same boat.I also fell off after 6 months and decided to do whatever I wanted. I started at 397 and got down to 292 at my lowest and after two years post op I am at 322.3 as of this morning. I have to get back and on track. I two am searching the boards trying to find my way back. Good Luck!
  2. I can completely relate to this. I was sleeved September 11th, 2014. I was 381 the day of surgery and at my lowest reached 293 lbs at about 10 months out. Previous to surgery I was 395 lbs so to me I felt proud in the fact that I had lost 102 lbs. In the past 6 months I have gained 17 lbs. I am back up to 310 lbs which I told myself I would never let happen. Every day seems to be the same story of me telling myself that I would get back on track that this will be the day and that day has come and gone time and time again. It is very frustrating.
  3. I am almost six months post op and down 75 lbs. I still have a long way to go and I am finding myself getting discouraged and loosing myself in this process. I would love to have a buddy who lives close but am willing to work with anyone. I am 26 and would prefer someone within my age group who can relate. Thanks

Hi Ladies! I am now 10 months post op and down 91lbs. I am 26 married with no children but hope to have one on the way within the next year. Please feel free to message me anytime even at this point I need all the motivation and encouragement possible. It is a very long journey but as long as you have support you will overcome all obstacles.

    South Florida Buddy?

I am familiar with these I actually had my surgery done at South Miami so I do get the monthly newsletter about the meetings. I guess I thought I could do it alone and was a little apprehensive about attending them. I guess I should check it out this month. Thanks.
  7. Hi there! My husband and I were sleeved on the 11th also. We see our surgeon for our 6 month follow up next Friday. My husband has reached goal, but I've got about 85 to go. He must be so excited! I am glad for my loss but now that I am stalling it's kind of scaring me. I don't see my surgeon again until the middle of April but when I saw him in the middle of January he was impressed with my weight loss. He says with gastric sleeve I should only be losing 8-10 lbs a month.
  8. Hey Everyone! I was sleeved September 11th and down 75lbs. I have hit a stall the past three weeks and have even gained two lbs. in the past week. Not sure what's going on but I hope I can't get it back together and keep up the weight lose. I still have about 100lbs to lose.

3 Days from Sleeve and TTC

I am 25, and was recently diagnosed with PCOS. In 2012, I had a miscarriage which at the time I was not TTC at all. After this I was kind of heartbroken and me and my boyfriend (at the time) now husband decided to really try. We tried for two years to no avail that's when I was diagnosed with PCOS. Now looking back I really shouldn't have even tried do to me being so big and all the complications that could have come along with it. I would definitely have been a high risk pregnancy I was nearly 400lbs. I got sleeved September 11th, 2014 SW 395 CW 349 so I've lost 46 lbs. so far. I do plan to TTC within the next year provided I am close to where I want to be goal wise which is 190lbs. I decided I would start trying around 230lbs.
  10. I've heard a lot of people talk about a three week plateau but at just two weeks post op I gained one pound and have been stuck at this weight for about a week now. I will officially be three weeks post op on Thursday. Is this a normal plateau or could I be doing something wrong?
  11. @@Rovobay I was just scared I was doing something wrong. It's like I gained a pound and the stall began. I must also admit I stay on the scale everyday which I need to stop. I called the NUT today and made an appointment for October 8th so hopefully I will be able to get a handle on my eating habits.
  12. I was sleeved on 9/11 and have already hit a plateau but I'm not sure if this is normal at two weeks. I've always been told the plateau usually happens around week three post op. I am afraid I'm doing something wrong. Like others have stated I am also having trouble getting in all of my protein and water. I can't stomach protein shakes and I get down maybe 32 to 40 oz. of water a day.
  13. I was intentionally told that I need to do a two week full liquid diet after surgery. I am two days from a week and I am SO sick of brother I could scream. Half the time I don't even eat it because I am so sick of it. I see my surgeon tomorrow and have every intention on asking him to let me start the pureed stage a week early. Has anyone ever experienced this and their surgeon let them start early?

    Pureed Stage One Week Early

I agree the thing I wanted the most was the eggs. I am glad to be on pureed foods now but the scale quit moving.
  15. So I am officially one week post op. On my pre op diet I lost 12lbs. I am now a week out from surgery and have lost an additional 16.2 lbs. For a total of 28.2 lbs. lost. I am so excited I can't believe how much weight is just falling off. I know my week three plateau is just around the corner and right now I won't even be mad with the progress I've made thus far. I'm just hoping for another 15-20lbs to come off before then.

    Pureed Stage One Week Early

Thanks for all the feedback! My doctor told me I can start the next phase and so far im loving it!
  17. @@Rovobay I was sleeved on 9/11. I figured it would take a while I just wanted I make sure it was normal.
  18. This may be TMI but how long was it before you all had your first bowel movement? I just want to make sure I'm not getting backed up or if it's normal for the first couple of days or so? Thanks.
  19. Hi Everyone!!! I was sleeved 9/11 and honestly remember nothing of that day. I don't even remember being in a recovery room my first memories were of me in my own private room. At 5am on 9/12 I took my first walk and walked a few times in the hospital. At around 8am they took me for my xray to be sure there was no leakage which thank god there wasn't. I was released yesterday at around 6pm after dinner which I barley ate. The hospital sent me home with pain pills (which I was horrified to swallow but did last night just fine) and 14 shots which are blood thinners in which I must give myself every 12 hours. Today I have not drank or eaten much of anything mostly due to me being afraid of over doing it. I have terrible gas pains and feel as if my stomach is so numb I would not be able to tell when I get full. I'm just glad I feel better today because yesterday after getting home I was so miserable I started questioning my decision. After taking a pain pill I slept through the night and today feel much better.
  20. My doctor prescribed me pain pills that are kind of big and oblong. Am I going to have problems swallowing these? Has anyone else been given these one day post op? I'm kind of scared to take them.

    I cant believe it's here....

Thanks everyone!!! In pre op now kind of nervous but no turning back now. Will update and let everyone know how it went when I come to.
  22. So tomorrow is the big day and I cannot believe it's already here. I'm so overwhelmed and overjoyed I feel like I've become emotionally numb not knowing how to feel about it all. I have already lost 12.6lbs on my pre op diet and can't wait to see what will come of it all in the next few months!!!!
  23. Hi!! My surgery is on September 11th. I am currently on 9 of my two week pre op diet and have lost 11lbs. 25 Years Old High Weight: 395 Current Weight: 384 Goal Weight:185
  24. I started my two week pre op diet on Friday and as of this morning I have lost 9 lbs. Just wanted to know if this is normal to be losing so much weight so rapidly? I was told I would lose 20-30 lbs but if I keep up at this pace I will lose about 56 lbs.

    Wanted: September Sleevers!

I started my two week pre op diet today. Although I am pretty sure of myself and getting through this I am still very nervous that I will screw up. I'm excited for this new journey in life. September 11th can't come soon enough!
