YES agree, this forum is AMAZING, thanks to Alex for doing this! I have learned so much from this forum and keep learning and it's a great support system. I was especially grateful right after surgery, everyone was so helpful giving advise and keeping my spirits up! Good luck to you, read a LOT about WLS in this forum, you too will be an expert on the subject!

Hi Lidi -- YES ME TOO!!!!! OMG! You and I are on the same boat, ugh! I also crave sweets, crave chocolate! But let's try to control ourselves by snacking on Protein stuff, no carbs and no sweets or chocolate (this after I ate an entire Kit Kat bar last night). Shame on me! I have not lost anything in the past 4 weeks due to this, I think mine is from anxiety. But that's it, I'm telling myself -- and it feels good to write it down right now right here, I HAVE to stop and go back to being good. I will go home today after work and get rid of all bad things I'm tempted to snack on. Let's try to be strong together and not give in to temptation LOL. We've worked so hard to reach our 60+ pounds off, right? Good luck my friend, let's try our hardest to continue being good starting this minute!

Ladies, Ladies... no worries, just keep doing what you're doing and soon enough the weight will once again start sliding off.... you'll see. As for me, well, I'm almost 7 months post op and I am in a SUPER stall, 4 weeks and not once ounce down... womp womp... But I know eventually that too will start coming down. Good Luck, keep those spirits up and the weight WILL come down, you'll see. Keep drinking that Water and walk...

Stay positive!!!!!!!!! and walk walk walk walk walk after your surgery for the bloating discomfort!

I've been ordering from them for over 6 months now and have never had a problem. I'm not surprised they came through because they are really nice to deal with. Glad everything worked out.

Well, I don't know how to tell you this guys, but I really never had a sweet tooth, however, now almost 7 months post-op I crave sweets ALL the time. Not sure if it's that I didn't have any sweets at all for about 5 months but I crave sweets and chocolate all the time now, I try not to have it but every night at around 8pm I crave and crave, so usually I just take a teaspoonful of Peanut Butter. Good Luck.

How exciting! Forget nerves --- this is a GREAT thing you're doing for YOU! You're going to be sooo healthy and soooo happy! Prayers on the way for you sweety, all will be fine....

CONGRATS!!!!!! What a GREAT feeling, right?!!! Way to go!!!!!! Enjoy the "ONE's"..... yayyyy!!!!!!!!!

Hey there.... don't be nervous, rather try to be EXCITED!! The surgery itself is a quick procedure and the aftermath is really not bad at all. The "bad" lasts only maybe 4 to 5 days, one week out you'll feel GREAT!! As for the "mind food war" thing, that too will go away. Once you start losing the weight, and you see how AMAZING you feel (and look too), that will take a back seat. You're always going to want and crave food, but you'll think differently about how you go about eating and you will be ok with that because you're going to be feeling sooooo good, that you will never want to go back to the "old you"!
Remember to stay hydrated after surgery, and WALK WALK WALK! It helps the gas discomfort tremendously! Good luck, stay positive, don't be afraid, it GETS BETTER AND BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all in the mind sweety, once you start really losing the weight -- in about another 2 weeks, you'll be sooo motivated that these food cravings won't be the center of your mind anymore, you'll see.... For now remember to keep hydrated, keep walking and occupy yourself with other things... Good Luck, it does get better!!!

Hi there. Once you start on your soft foods, you'll feel soooo much better! Remember to eat slowly. Also, the "hunger" might not really be hunger, it might be from the hernia repair, it can easily be confused with heartburn, I know I did. Keep drinking your Water and more importantly, walk walk walk walk... good luck, it DOES get better, you will NOT gain any weight if you stay within your Protein foods and away from sugar, starches, carbohydrates. It gets better and better, you'll see.... Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Kgard! WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK!! GasX won't do much for you anyways, but the walking will SUPER HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walk at least every two hours!!!!! In a few days you'll feel so much better and in 7 days, you'll feel like your old self again but get that walking in friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! You're going to have periodic stalls now and then. No worries, as after the "stalls" down comes the weight sliding off almost on a daily basis. Be patient, the weight DOES COME DOWN if you follow your surgeon and nut's advise!
Today is the day!
