Been thinking about this on and off for years....
Comeflywithme replied to optasia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honeyyyyy..... First of all.... the energy level less than two months out will be thru the roof! I used to be a couch potato, now I jog every day! EVERY DAY!!!!! I haven't said "I'm tired" in 3 months (I'm 4 months post op). Second, the depression thing....? What is that all about?? ZERO depression, I haven't been THIS happy in over 30 years. Once you see that scale go down down down down and you see the figure you used to have or have always wanted to have, there is zero depression, just a lot of happiness and a positive outlook on life! Third, food is important to you now, the moment the weight starts to go down so fast and you feel amazingly terrific and could eat anything you want and you get full right away you will get that food obsession out of your head. To ME, there is NOT one single reason if you're overweight and not loving yourself and not loving how you feel to not get weight loss surgery. It's really the best tool to combat obesity and to gain self-esteem and most importantly to be HEALTHY!!! I'm speaking to you like I speak to my close friends who have thought about surgery. Don't delay it, get it done, there is NOT one reason why not do it. It's the best thing, it's amazing to feel good again and energized and healthy! My ONLY regret is not having it done when I first thought of doing it 10 years ago but better late than never. Good luck to you! -
I buy their vitamins all the time -- they're really good, easy to digest and pretty good tasting.

Drum roll please.... I am ecstatic to announce that today I weighed in at 199!! It's been about a good 30 years since I had been under the 200's!! I was sleeved almost 4 months ago, have lost as of today a total of 55 lbs and feel AMAZING!!!! I want to thank God for giving me the courage to get WLS, my amazing surgeon, Dr. Goyal and his team from NJ Bariatric Center and my super supportive friends!! 34 lbs more to goal! YESSSSS!!!!!! I am sooo happy!!

Sleeved on the 26th of august...need encouragement
Comeflywithme replied to vbm510's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's normal. Very normal. However, no worries it DOES go away, once your start eating soft foods and feel full immediately and begin to feel better and better and start seeing that scale go down -- and it will before you know it, and your clothes so loose, food -- well bad food will be out of your mind as you will easily be satisfied. Good luck, walk walk walk as that's what helps your gas and bloating. -

Stall every 10lbs ish...
Comeflywithme replied to AggieGal08's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yeah me too -- and now after more than 50 lbs, I've been stalled for nearly 3 weeks, only losing about 1 lb. Ugh, frustrating but hey, at least I'm not gaining. I'm told to eat "real" food, treat myself a bit for a few days then go back to strict dieting - mostly Protein and it starts to rapidly come down again... -
Hardest thing i have ever done !
Comeflywithme replied to tabithacool66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In less than 2 weeks you won't remember this phase. You'll feel really good and 3 weeks from now, you'll feel TERRIFIC! This too shall pass and you will feel like this WLS is the BEST thing you've done for yourself in your life! Trust me! I am almost 4 months out, 53 lbs down, energy levels ridiculously high and feel AMAZING. I am the happiest and healthiest I have been in over 30 years...!! Just get your walking in, your Protein and your Water. Good Luck! -
Congrats!! How exciting!!!!!!!! It'll be here before you know it then the fun begins --- losing amazing weight and feeling amazing!! Good Luck!

4 days Post Op and I feel like poo :( insight, please!
Comeflywithme replied to Loristi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OK --- it gets better....much sooner than you think. First of all, the "bad pain in your chest" is GAS. You HAVE HAVE HAVE to walk it off --- it's the only thing that really helps. Try Gas X strips -- but honestly, they did nothing for me, the walking helped TREMENDOUSLY!!! Walk every two hours --at least! Walk during the night also. take small sips of Water constantly and think Protein first. By day 7 -- IF you follow my lead and walk walk walk, I guarantee you'll feel super great!! WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck, let us know how you're doing. -

AWSOME! Congrats!!! Way to goooo!!! -
Sorry to hear of your problems sweety, hopefully all be ok. I'm (thankfully) not having any personal issues at the moment, I am almost 4 months post op and have been at a stall for over 3 weeks now, barely losing a pound here, a pound there. Frustrating... good luck!
