    Day 2 post op

That's ok sweety, YES, it does get better, just be patient. By day 4 (2 days) you'll be less bloated, glass pressure will be less also, however, keep walking, it's the only thing that really helps. Take naps when you feel good, you'll prob won't get a full night's sleep till about day 8 or 9 maybe, but the sleep will be a bit more and more each day till then. Before you know, you'll feel so much better and then the weight starts coming down and OMG in 30 days from now you'll be the happiest ever...only to be happier and happier each coming month. Be patient, relax, and walk walk walk..... good luck, it DOES get better!!!!!!!!!
  3. Who cares about skin??? You'll be HEALTHY and feel AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! That's the IMPORTANT factor, not the skin!! Deal with the skin, after you lose the weight, in whichever way you want to deal with it, for now, go for it, get healthy, change your life around and feel awsome! My ONLY regret is not having this done sooner. I've had no complications, no set backs and feel like I haven't felts in over 30 years!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!

    Officially Post-op!

Awsome! So happy for you! The next 3 or 4 days will be rough due to gas and bloating -- walk walk walk, that's the BEST advise I can give you!! By day 4 you feel much better, by day 7 you feel amazing, 30 days out, you'll be a lot lighter and feeling great!! Hang in there, it gets amazingly better!! Good Luck! Remember.... walk walk walk!

    Cheating on Pre-Op

Yes I did... I admit it, so there! I went out with friends 2 days before surgery and I had a slider burger... it was the BEST SLIDER I have ever had! LOL! I had been really good and i said to myself "what the heck, in two days I won't eat this for God knows how long -- life's to short, I'm having the dam slider" and so I did. There you have it. No worries, after surgery, once that scale goes down, you won't want to cheat because the excitement of the weight coming down is so nice! So that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL! Good Luck!
  6. 6 more lbs till hit the 100's - fall OFF the 200's!! WoW!

    So mad at myself

Don't look back, it's behind you. Look forward -- with lots of excitement! I felt the same but took the right road -- the WLS road almost 3 months ago and couldn't be happier, don't remember feeling this "healthy, light and happy" ever!! And I've only lost 1/2 of my weight so far. Life is giving you this second chance at "making it right" so don't dwell on the past, just focus on your beautiful, happy and healthy, low weight future. Good Luck! Stay positive!!! It's all worth it!

    Going back to work

I took 4 weeks off -- one week is not enough, you need to heal healthily and completely -- it IS major surgery after all. Good Luck.
  9. Awsome, I know the feeling all too well... I was sleeved on Monday May 5th so a Friday like this one back on May 2nd was my last Friday too... enjoy the time off, heal well, you'll feel pretty good 4 days out, and great almost like your old self 7 days out. Make sure you walk walk walk -- it's the only thing that really helps the gas and bloating discomfort. You'll be sooo happy after it's done. I have not had one complication, I'm almost 3 months out, 45 lbs down and feel TERRIFIC!! Enjoying the new me, down 3 dress sizes and lotsss of energy... love love love it! Good luck, keep us posted.

    Walking.....

I didn't measure my walking, but I would walk I'd say for about 10 minutes nonstop every two hours, including at nights, I would wake up with gas discomfort so I would take a Gas X and walk walk walk. Good luck, hope you feel better soon... you will love yourself in about 3 weeks and after that, it gets better and better!!!

    The easy way out

Beautifully written and I agree with you 100%~~ I too have had a great recovery and wouldn't change a thing. MY ONLY REGRET -- not getting is done sooner but timing is everything I guess. I was so ready when I decided to go thru WLS. I am the happiest and feel the best-est I have in many many many years. God Bless all of us and keep us healthy and happy! Thank you for writing that -- it made my day! Have a great weekend.
  12. My ONLY regret is not having it done sooner! I am the happiest I have EVERRRR been in the last 30 years of my life!!! I feel TERRRRRIFIC, starting to look great (almost 3 months out -- 45 lbs down!), almost out of the 200's and buying clothes "normal" sizes, not the XXX's sizes!! The BEST part is how i feel -- so energetic, so willing to go go go and just feel awsome and healthy! The love ( or should I call it -- obsession) I had for food is gone, it's not longer my priority, I am super happy with little morsels of my favorite foods from time to time, looking at the scale go down each week is a tremendous high! Timing is everything, I had thought about getting this done for over 10 years and finally something in me clicked last year, started this process and had surgery May 5th -- a day I will forever Celebrate from now on!!! Go For it! It's life-changing! Good luck!

    Second stall *sigh*

I'm with you ladies but will NOT let the frustration get to me as I am very happy with my 30+ weight loss since surgery so far... no worries, this too shall pass and we'll once again see that scale go down down down.... stay positive, keep walking and eating right and healthy! Have a great weekend!
  14. Totally NORMAL! You'll get stalls like that in the beginning every 3 weeks or so. Just watch by the end of next week how much you'll lose, you'll be stunned! Don't weigh yourself everyday, and just follow your doctors or NUT's orders and the weight will come down.
  15. Comeflywithme

    Woohoo!

What a great feeling, I recently went thru the same thing but for me it was a size 14 (down from 20) that fit. Love love love it!! Congrats!
  16. Well, I took 4 weeks off so when I went back to work, I felt FANTASTIC!! However, I did feel pretty good (except for gas and bloating which walking helps) by the 4th day and even better by the 7th day so I think you should be ok, just don't overdo it and walking will be the BEST thing that will help with gas. Good Luck!

It is amazing what just 30lbs can do...

Awsome and Congrats and I can totally relate. I work for an airline and fly for pleasure frequently and the last 2 years I was unable to tie my seatbelt and was too ashamed to ask for an extension (stupid me) and I flew for the first time after surgery 2 weeks ago (6 weeks post WLS) and I was able to actually tighten my seat belt AND I had 5 inches left over. I had lost about 30 lbs too and was ELATED! Thanks for sharing, good luck!

    Question

Broth, your vitamins, and your will to WALK WALK WALK as nothing else will help your gas more than walking.
  24. You need to walk walk walk walk to get rid of the excess gas and bloating. ONLY walking will help, not GasX, not anything else, just plain ole walking. Good Luck, feel better and WALK WALK WALK!
  25. No need to be nervous or no need to talk yourself out of it sweety -- however, it's very normal to feel that way. I had my sleeve done 2 months ago tomorrow and I don't remember EVER feeling so good and being so happy. I only regret not having it done sooner. I'm super ok with the small amounts of food, eat everything, down 30+ lbs since surgery, I've had no complications at all, and feel amazing!! I was a bit uncomfortable the first 4 days, nothing too bad, not pain, just bloating and gas which walking helped tremendously. The 4th day out I felt pretty good, the 7th day out I felt myself, totally good. Hang in there, before you know it, it'll be over and you'll feel amazing! Good luck, stay positive and WALK WALK WALK after surgery!
