Greetings Bariatric Pals

I was recently "sleeved" on March 12 and it has been a journey. I revised from the Lapband that did not work for me. The band gave me terrible reflux and little to no sustained weight loss. My decision to revise the process to the sleeve was based largely on my RA (Rheumatoid). I embarked on WLS due to my RA and did not have much success with the first surgery. My RA doctor encouraged me to pursue the revision and was extremely supportive and worked collaboratively with all of the doctors required to make this happen. Now at the 3 week mark, I am hopeful to have turned the corner and on the way to a healthier lifestyle. As for the surgery, I look back and have to say it packed a punch!!! :o :o
I fully expected a quicker recovery, but accept that each day I feel better. As said by many, it is the fatigue that is the hardest, only surpassed by the horrific 72 hours following surgery. Well, that is my story and I am happy to have a place to share it! :)
