TexasRN got a reaction from 1BadWitch in Looking for a Sleeve Buddy in Austin, TX
    Hi all.....
Had my sleeve yesterday..... I am feeling great.... Been up walking around... Able to go to the bathroom...... Pain is minimal, thanks to the pain medicine.... No nausea... And had my X-Ray no leaks or obstructions... And am having a popcicle.... Yay.... Never thought a popcicle would be so good....
Can't wait to get out of here....

If you consider eating Indian food normal that is
So if you're worrying you won't be able to eat or enjoy your food or be normal? Here's what I made for lunch today. Brown rice for the kids, ground beef curry, cucumber/tomato/Greek yogurt salad, palak paneer (spinach. with a homemade cheese). Apart from the rice, all good for us sleevers to eat.
I sometimes see people thinking they won't enjoy food, or that they can only have baked chicken and steamed vegetables. SO not true. I make Indian, Thai, Ethiopian, Greek etc all the time.
What is true however, is that my two kids (23 and 13) and my husband and I all ate--and we finished about a fourth of the food you see here
Feel free to post pics of what you're enjoying today that is sleeve friendly.

Personally, one comment like that and I would just say, I'm done, and leave. I have no tolerance for jerks like that, family or not.

TexasRN reacted to jess9395 in Three goals in one day!
    Hooray!!!!
I set three initial goals for myself...to complete couch to 5k, to get under 200 and to weigh less than my husband. At the time the 200 and my husband's weight were further apart, but the whole family has been eating better since my surgery so he's lost weight as well (he didn't have a lot to lose just 20lbs or so).
Anyhow yesterday I met all three goals on the same day!!!! 3.5 months out and down just over 71lbs. 199.8! And finished my last couch to 5k run...2.5 miles in 30 minutes.
Need to find a way to celebrate/reward myself. Any ideas?
