  1. Does anyone know if Cigna requires 3 or 6 months of diet before approving? My insurance says 3 months, but my doctors say 6 months?? So, so confused!

    Is it true?

Hi everyone! Is it true that band to sleevers lose weight slower than regular sleevers? I've heard that some band to sleevers don't lose weight at all. How true is this? I need to lose 60 -70 pounds and if the sleeve doesn't help, I will be disappointed. ..
  3. Well, I'm three days post opt and so far my experience was a little dramatic. I had to stay an extra night because my blood pressure sky rocketed during surgery. I appreciate my surgeon and his team for taking great care of me. So far taking in liquids haven't been to hard. Popsicles and apple juice are the best! I tried to drink a sugar free carnation, I belched several times but it stayed down. I am sore and my belly feels heavy when I walk. All is well, I'm thankful to be home. I look forward to a successful future.

  7. In fourteen days I will be sleeved! I have been working like crazy to clear my desk at work, cleaning to get my house prepared, and situating personal obligations. On May 22nd at 11am, it's going to happen. I will spend one night in the hospital, I was looking forward to two nights, but whatever. From your experience, what should I know?? I have my pre-op class this coming Tuesday, but what helped you to calm your nerves and to get through the surgery?

  9. Good morning everyone, I have my surgery date, May 22! So I'm wondering what does a sleeve feel like? Can you feel that a part of your stomach is gone? I am an emotional eater, how do you move past that feeling? I have so many mixed emotions. But after eating a Subway foot long the other day (with the band) I need serious help.

    Kickboxing

I love kickboxing!! it really does tone your body and give you a sense of power! After each class, I felt like I could conquer the world. However, I over did it and developed planter fiscitis in my foot. Be sure to wear good shoes, take plenty of water, a towel for the ton of sweat and have fun!

    Quest Bars

Thank you for this thread...I am pre-op and I went to Walmart to purchase a few samples to see what the hype was all about. Unfortunately, Walmart does not sell this product, but to know it's not taste that great, I will save my pennies and try something else.
  16. Well, I was "scoped" today and the results were GERD and Gastritis. Has anyone experienced this and will this affect my sleeve surgery from happening or does it give the green light to go on with the surgery?? By time I woke up from my sleep, the doctor was gone for the day and told me to call, but it was too late.....
