  2. I am wanting to get either the Fitbit or Jawbone Up and I was curious if anyone is using either one and if it works well. I have read good reviews on both, just can't decide which one to get. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 181; GW 135
  3. That's GREAT!!! RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 181; GW 135

  5. Glad to see some Posts from July postops. Wondering how everyone has been doing as we are around the 3 month mark. I have lost 39#'s. Have my 3 month postop visit on Friday. Looking forward to getting measured to see inches lost. Hope everyone is doing well! RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 186; GW 135
  6. I gained 20 pounds in the hospital. It all came off the first week. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 195; GW 135
  7. I had a stall around 3-4 weeks and it lasted well over a week. Good news is it doesn't last forever so hang in there. From what I have read a stall around the one month mark is pretty common. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 196.4; GW 135
  8. Thanks! RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 196.4; GW 135
  9. So I had a stricture. I was down to 5mm..dilated me back to 12mm. On liquids a couple of days. Feeling better already. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 196.4; GW 135
  10. I had to call my surgeon today because I had gotten to the point where any food except liquids would get stuck and come back up. I am scheduled to have an EGD tomorrow at 11. Hoping all I need is dilation to fix the problem. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 196.4; GW 135
  11. I had my first stall around 3 weeks postop and it lasted for almost 2 weeks. 5 weeks postop now and just started dropping pounds again recently. It is very discouraging, but like others have said it doesn't last. So hang in there! RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 199.8; GW 135
  12. I have finally made it to onederland. 199.8 today. It has been 5+ years since I have been less than 200. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 202; GW 130
  13. I agree we should keep in touch, helps to know someone else is going through the same things. I think having regrets is normal so close after surgery because everything is so new, our bodies are trying to adjust, and our emotions are crazy. Hopefully the protein thing will become easier when we move to the next stage. Have u tried Gas X chewables after u eat? They have been a big help for me. Good luck to you! RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 202; GW 130

  15. I also had RNY on 7/16. I am having trouble getting in my 60g of Protein but finally did today. I have also experienced my first stall this week, scale hasn't moved for 3 days. Glad to see someone with the same surgery date. RNY 7/16/13 HW 226, SW 215; CW 206; GW 130
  16. I came home from the hospital on Friday after gastric bypass revision from lapband on Tuesday and I had gained 19#'s. I know that it is from all the fluids given to me while in the hospital, but it still feels like a set back. I was very swollen and that has gone down and I have lost 17 of the 19#'s. but it looks like at my one week f/u on Thursday I will probably just barely be below weight day of surgery? Did anyone else experience this.?
  17. I am also a week post op today. DH got me a bag of ice from sonic and it really helps! Chomp chomp chomp all day, also helps me to get my fluids in.
  18. I was banded 14 months ago. Did pretty well at first, losing 40 pounds, but then I began to fall back into old habits about 6 months ago and now have gained back 20 pounds. I feel like I am in a rutt and can't get out. I am not sure if I need a fill or not. Supose to see MD in a few weeks. Has anyone been at this point and how do you find the motivation again? Just feel like I am lost.
  19. Total of 26 pounds lost. Got my second fill Thursday and really feeling restriction. Can only eat a little at a time. Hoping this is my sweet spot.
  20. Thanks everyone for the replies!!! I am looking forward to getting my 2nd fill this week and getting back on track. Need to get my motivation back!!!
  21. One month ago I had my first fill (4cc's in a 14cc band). The first week I felt like I had pretty good restriction. After that I have been able to eat more and more and I am hungry again a couple of hours after I eat. I have also pretty well been able to tolerated eating anything. I was reading on another thread about delayed restriction and that it was normal, but I am the opposite. I am having another fill on Friday. Just wondering if I should expect the same, hoping to find my "sweet spot".
  22. I love P.B. I was glad that I could still eat my favorite breakfast after being banded. I toast one Special K waffle, put 1 Tbsp of creamy P.B. and 1 Tbsp of lite syrup on it. Very Yummy!!!
