MOSunshine got a reaction from katesuccess in Transition clothes...
i am struggling! I feel like i am tossing clothes every month. I literally have no spring or summer clothes. And getting dressed is now very frustrating. I go to my closet and just want to cry. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE that i have lost over 80lbs and am now a small 10, but it makes getting dressed hard. The clothes I bought when i was a 12 are now getting to be too big and arent flattering. I am nervous about buying more clothes because i dont know how small I am going to get. sigh..what to do

MOSunshine got a reaction from Good Molly in Best tasting protein bars?
"Oh yea" bars are pretty awesome! 20g of Protein and they taste like a snickers bar. I have only found them at Albertsons and Amazon. Best Protein Bar I have ever tasted. And I have tasted ALOT

I am so sorry to hear your struggles. I am only 6 days post op and still regret it as well. I was hoping by the time I get to eat solid foods again I would be ok. I kept reading "you won't even have an appetite" but that doesn't seem to be the case. I feel real hunger. And being a big foodie, I crave food so it's really difficult to just drink Water and Protein Drinks. Stay strong

@@jaxhdsn I did not have any Soups the first week, but I did start having Soup on day 8. A coworker of mine was nice of enough to make me some Tomato Soup. It goes down REALLY well and hits the spot. I am not sure if you have a La Madeleine near you, but you should try their french onion soup...it is divine AND a 1 cup serving is only 100 calories and 4 grams of fat.

Hi! I am 8 days post op! I no longer have the painful gas like i did the first few days, but I discovered that if i would sip AND walk at the same time, the gas bubble would come out my mouth much faster and easier. Hope that helps! Stay positive, the gas phase will pass (literally) in just a few more days.
    Good Luck!

MOSunshine got a reaction from Kitt3000 in Specific friend advice needed! Pic included
I also decided not to share my plan for surgery with anyone except my boyfriend and one co-worker. I was so sure that was the proper way to go, I didn't want people to suddenly look at me and think "is she fat enough for gastric sleeve" give me a good look and think "oh yea, she is" I was embarrassed and didn't want people to realize that I had indeed gained that much weight. (50lbs in two years). But a few days before my surgery I told my best friend of twenty years because I felt SO guilty for hiding it from her. She totally understood why I hadn't said anything....but then got sad. Her feelings were hurt that she felt I couldn't have come to her during my decision making. She felt out of all people...why wouldn't I share it with her. Which is ultimately why I did. (She too has been a 9/10, most of her adult life) So maybe just maybe....your friend has her feelings hurt because you haven't shared your weight loss success with her. Fortunately I have not been heavy my whole life. So once I get back to my normal weight, it won't be anything "new" toy best friend, so I don't expect any changes on our friendship. I'd give your friend the benefit of the doubt as well...maybe she hasn't said anything because you haven't said anything.
Another thing, not that I am judging...but my best friend lives 20 minutes away from me...she is married with a child. And I have 2 children and a serious boyfriend and I see her atleast once a week. It shocked me you only see your best fried that is 30 minutes away once a month. Perhaps it's time to look at your friendship and see if you really are best friends still...you could have grown apart. Or your friendship could have changed from best friends to just friends over the course of the years.
