I'm all over the place. No idea what size I am. I found out at 13 weeks that I was a month pregnant during surgery. It's been scary.

Hi! I'm almost done meeting all of my insurance requirements and hope to have my sleeve in May/June. Anyone nearby?

Mine was 9/22. I'm down 90. It's been quite a ride.

I'm feeling lots better. It's just weird. Head hunger has been rough. I want some real food!

I am so nervous but ready to begin this new life!

Liquid diet day one! It's not so bad but I just feel disconnected. My thoughts aren't very clear. Maybe I'm just tired. Is it the 22nd yet?

Me too! I have told my husband, mother, brother and bff. I didn't tell my sister because she's perfect, always has been, and I don't want to feel like I have to defend myself. Honestly, it's my guts. Just because I'm having surgery doesn't mean I'm required to talk to you about what I eat and a don't eat. Being overweight has made me the negative center of attention for long enough and I don't want to talk about it with everyone. When I was pregnant with my son I remember how everything became about my pregnancy after we told people that we were expecting. I don't want the same to happen in this instance. I don't blame you for not telling anyone. I don't discuss my period or the kind of tampons I use or how many. My guts, my business.

I suspect I'll feel this way too. I look forward to hearing what others have to say about it.

Hello! I'm almost done with all of my pre-op hoop jumping and need a buddy or ten. I live in Savannah and hope to have my surgery in May or June.

I don't see how she could tell you to stop going on about it! It's a BIG deal! It's life changing! You NEED to be able to talk about it with someone that loves and supports you!

I need to start testing out protein drinks myself! My bff had the band done 5-6 years ago and lost 150 lbs. She will guide me! lol

This happened to me a few years ago. I haven't been back to a fair, any fair, since. I was so embarrassed. Just thinking about it makes my eyes well up. I can't wait to get this weight off.

She had lap band with him around 5 years ago. She had complications and had to have it out in December. I think she's going to have a revision and get the sleeve. I hope so. She lost a lot of weight but she didn't follow the rules.

A friend of mine used Dr. Duncan. My surgery will be in Savannah in May/June.

Oh yes! I had the GI last week too. GAH! So much stuff! I haven't even started trying protein shakes yet.

My insurance company is letting me use any appointment when I spoke to my doctor about my weight in the past two years towards my 6 months. So, one appt 2/28, my next one tomorrow, one from Sept 2013, one from Nov 2013, then April and May. I did my psych eval and met with the Nutritionist Tuesday. I did my labs at my doc appt 2/28. Success habits workshop will be on April 5th. Then I just have to schedule the exercise class, do the computer test and pre-op appointment. Oh! I had to get approved by a cardiologist too and I meet with him for the follow up tomorrow afternoon. It looks like my surgery will be in June. Woohoo! Wow. That's a lot. Thank God for my Google Calendar.

My mother, big brother, husband and bff are the only ones that know. I am DEF not telling my hypochondriac, always perfect, 5'3" 120lb sister. My extended family won't be told either. When they ask I'm just going to tell them I'm on a diet. The way I see it, I don't survey them all about my tampon choice, why would I inform them of what I'm doing with my guts? My guts, my business.

And I forgot! Not having to hear, "Oh! You'll lose all that weight when the baby starts walking!" EVER. AGAIN.
