  1. I was glad to see this thread so I can see that I'm not alone! It's great to hear everyone's success stories, on the other threads and groups, but it's frustrating to hear someone complain about only loosing 47 in two months, when I'm 6 months out and am down about the same.I I'm not really upset about losing slow though, as long as I keep losing. I think the slow loss is why my hair isn't falling out (actually healthier than it's every been because I take uber good care of it these days in fear of the fall out), and my skin isn't sagging (yet at least).

I would ask your doctor what's typical for his/her patients. For me I never had issues with being over tired... I started working from home after the first week, then was back in the office the following week. Going off of my own heeling, I think two days a week of class and studies will be fine... But I would still an your doctor what's typical of his/hee patients.

Thanks same to you What doctor are you using if it's ok to know I'm seeing Dr. Sadek he's been doing bariatrics for a while and has the best credentials I have found in this area he's affiliated with Robert wood Johnson hospital which is a plus for me. But will definitely change if I find someone better lol I used Dr. Sadek also. I think he has a great overall program, along with the Bariatric coordinator and the Nutritionist he works with. I went to my first support group meeting last week, and it was really good to meet with other people in the same boat. Maybe I'll see you at the next one! All of the doctors and nurses I've worked with seem to LOVE him, so I'm happy with my choice. I personally am losing very slow, but I'm not too bother by that because I have two years of losing... I'm hoping the slow loss helps with having less skin sag.

Anyone else losing really slow? I'm down about 15 lbs since the surgery, and I'm 8 week's out. I stalled for about 4 weeks, and I think it finally lifted, but I won't know until I weight myself Monday.

Keep us posted, and I hope they find what's going on and is nothing complicated to fix! That's great that they figured it out quickly and you're feeling better! So many people have a hard time getting things down, I bet that happens more often then they are realizing. Great to hear you're doing better!

Thanks @sjohn. I met with my doctor today, and he said the same as yours... 1000-1200. This makes me really happy b/c I was struggling with 800-900 and getting closer to 1000 most days. So, I feel good that I am on track. Now hopefully... this stall will go away.

    New Jersey Sleevers?

Hi everyone! Happy I found a group of NJ folks I was sleeved 3/21 and am down 26 lbs including pre-op but I've been stalled for over three weeks now, Oy! I have an appointment with my doctor to see if there's anything I can do to get the stall moving again. Also, I want to know how many calories I'm suppose to be having a day at this point. Everyone's doctor seems to have a different plan. I've heard some say 800 and some say 1200, so I'll see what my doc has in mind.

Today is the first day I got all my liquid in. I'm just drinking aaaaall day and right now at 4:48 pm I'm at about 72 oz. I didn't think I'd ever get enough water, but I just had to try harder. Keep at it! And don't worry about this being for nothing. It will turn around soon enough and we'll all be posting pictures of our new bodies!

I feel your pain. The stall really sucks when you're seeing everyone lose so much weight, and you just can't weight for yours to start coming off too.

    March 2014 Sleevers

Hi Lovit! Congratulations on your loss! My surgery was on March 21. I'm so ready for this stall to end and to start losing again! I have around 800 - 1000 calories a day, which I would like to get down some more.

    March 2014 Sleevers

Hi March sleevers! It's been quiet in here, so I'm checking to see how everyone is doing. I have been stalled for almost three week's now :-\ Water may be the key though, so I'm trying REALLY hard today to start getting in enough fluid b/c I know I'm not even close to what I should have each day. Energey-wise I feel great! When I come home from work I actually WANT to do stuff, as oppose to before the surgery when I just wanted to crash in bed all night. My problem is I have to get use to exercising alone, b/c no one else wants to walk with me. I'm all amped to get going, but end up not because I don't want to do it by myself. So... just gotta push myself to do it solo. And, on days I see my BF I make him walk with me so I am still getting in a few days a week. My pre-op diet weight was 315, and now I'm at 288, with no change in the scale since April 8th. So... hopefully this will end soon and I can start losing again. It's definitely more than I would have lost without the surgery, so I just need to break this stall and keep it going. I am tolerating all food, and never thrown up since the surgery. That however, is a blessing and a curse b/c now that I can eat full foods, I don't always make the best choices calories-wise. But... I am focusing on protein and getting the 64 grams a day. I just have to try harder to keep my calories down. I pretty much stay away from rice, pasta, and bread... they do fill me up very quickly and stop me from getting protein, so I just avoid it all together, and I surprisingly haven't missed it. I figure if I'm going to take in carbs... it will be chocolate! I look forward to hearing how others are coming along!

    March 2014 Sleevers

I was sleeved on March 21, so I'm four weeks out and according to my doctors plan I should be getting 64 grams of protein, which now isn't too hard. I definitely more focused during the week when I have structure. I've been stalled for about a week and a half now. This weekend between easter and my son's birthday I have NOT been a good girl. Back on focus tomorrow, and exercise has started, so it'll work itself out I'm sure.

Before I had the surgery I read a lot of old posts, and soooo many people said they regretted having the surgery. But, when you look at their later posts they say it's the best decision they ever made. Sorry you're having such a hard time :-( just try to remember that is temporary, and eventually you'll forget this time ever existed :-) (especially wily you're out shopping for new clothes!). Everyone one is healing at a different rate, and before you know it, other people will be wishing they are where you are.

I think it's great that you and your husband did it together. That's awesome to have someone to go through this with who can completely related. I have a friend who had Lapband a couple of years ago, and had been super supportive and informative! I am doing well, but I really have to work on my will power, because this weekend I have not been focused at all, and am constantly cramming things into my pouch lol. I think when I'm back to work Monday it will be better though, because I'm too busy to be greedy. I had my surgery 3/21 and as of 4/7 I was down 28 lbs including pre-surgery diet. I am only weighing myself on Monday, so we'll see tomorrow if I hit a stall. I know I already feel better and can move better, so I'm do happy. Not worried about a stall because I know it will eventually come off, and I can't wait to throw on some spring/summer dresses!

I had Dr. Sadek too! I've been putting the vitamins in my Water bottle that I mix with nectar (Fuzzy Navel flavor) Protein and sip it all day long...it tastes like fruit punch and since you're drinking it out of a bottle you can't smell the nasty protein/vitamin stench that makes me gag...also since you're sipping it all day long, the vitamins aren't as hard on your stomach...just something to think about! Another Dr. Sadek patient! I had my surgery 3/21 and started soft food Friday. Sadly and happily, I really seem to be able to eat anything. I've been testing things out this weekend and really everything is going down and if I don't eat for a long time, it seems like I'm able to get a lot down (not nearly as much as before the surgery, but definitely more since the surgery). I only say sadly b/c of my lack of willpower, and wanting to eat everything I see. But, being able to eat more is nice b/c I'm able to get protein and Fluid in with less issues. How are you coming along?

are you still doing your protein shakes? It could all be in my head, but I feel like my morning protein shake has replaced my morning coffee and gives me more energy. Also, I just started taking b complex vitamins which are also suppose to help.

Well aren't you just a little ray of sunshine While I'm not a fan of focusing on the negative myself, I don't necessarily see what people are pointing out as frustrations so much as complaining, as I do venting. Also, it's a way to compare their experiences to see if they are the only ones having these issues. I know for me the "complaining" has helped me see that I'm doing pretty darn good with my progress, and for others I think it helps them see that they are not alone. So, even though I prefer not to focus n the negative, if it's helping you guys post away!! Personally if I were bothered by it I just wouldn't read it seems like the easiest solution
