I was allowed scrambled eggs on phase two... I guess every doctor has different guidelines in regards to foods on the phases. I measured 1/4 cup of egg beaters and cooked them in a no stick pan with a little of the food spray to keep from sticking. I also added some almond milk or you could use regular skim milk to add to the eggs to make them softer. I had trouble swallowing eggs and still do even if i chew them good.. I hope you measured the egg and didn't fry it in oil or fat.... that could cause problems....

Also when you mash and whip the potatoes you can add a wedge of laughing cow chesse to it..... there you go your mashed potatoes and cheese.... but no butter in the potatoes please. just mashed potatoes milk and cheese..... but you can only have 1/4 cup or maybe 1/2 cup at the most per doctors recomendations on the phase of the diet. I found the potatoes very satisfying but of course i don't eat that every day.

they call that 'grazing' for us 'sleever's and yes that can lead to a stall or even a gain. I was drinking things frequently on the liquid diet but since I'm on the pureed phase I only have my three small meals a day and if I have to have something extra I have a sugar free popsicle or jello and occasionally some hot chicken broth.... it helps a lot to curb hunger. The protein shakes help with hunger too. Anything with protein will curb hunger well.

I am on phase two of the diet and I can have mashed potatoes. I cooked about three organic potatoes till soft then mashed them with some almond milk and used Mrs Dash for seasoning. After mashing them I used my hand blender to whip them up to a nice soft fluffy consistency. I opened a can of cream of chicken soup (low sodium) to use to put on top of the potatoes like gravy. I measured 1/4 cup of the mashed potatoes and put it on a plate and put two spoons full of cream chicken soup on top..... it went down well and very satisfying but it doesn't stay with you long unless you add a small wedge of laughing cow soft cheese to the whipped potatoes. I stored the rest in the refrigerator and have made two meals with this already. I eat this sparingly and i think the carbs in the potatoes might slow weight loss. i only eat it once in a while.
