    I'm only two months out but I hit a three week stall after the 3rd week!! I call it my condensing stage! Haha I lost so much so fast my body needs to readjust itself! I wasn't losing pounds but I was shrinking!

    I'm in the same boat! Getting discouraged! I will go a week with nothing then 2 lbs then nothing and I am eating 1/10 if what I used to!! Hah I ha my fitness pal set at 600 but have upped it to 800 thinking maybe I wasn't eating enough!?? I wish I could speak to a nutritionist!

    I think that's smart Nicey2u, and you may well not be getting enough. I hit a long lull and talked to both the RN who runs the program, my doctor and the nutritionist (it was a long lull!) and they gave conflicting advice. Doc said move more to an extreme, RN said stay down at 600 calories as long as possible (I'm two months out), and Nut said up the calories and back off the 6 days a week of exercising! SO crazy. I opted for a combination of doc and RN since that's who I'd have to go to if I need an appointment (Nut is out of pocket). BUT - if that's not working within two weeks, I"m going back up to 800 and lessening the exercise, like the nutritionist said. She thinks our bodies go into starvation mode and we need to nudge them back out. Sounds sane to me. Good luck.

    I was sleeved on 4/9 and could not break a stall! I met with my nutritionist who has me eating 6 4 oz meals/day with net calories between 800-1000. I eat 2 oz Protein and 1 oz carb and I oz fruit. The scale has gone down 4.5 lbs since I met with her last week, so it does work!!! The 400-500 cal days were not doing it! ????????????????

    Looking great!! Keep up the good work!! I'm April 23rd and finally feel normal! Hah I am down 37 since surgery.. Lots more to go!! Stalls suck! Hah

    Nothing has been worse for me... The first day after surgery was the hardest only because I didnt walk enough after surgery but once I got a shot of the good stuff Which the doc said was a one time deal I walked walked walked and the gas pain got much much better!! I was sleeved on 4-23 and everything after that point went pretty smooth. I haven't gotten sick or nauseous once! Each new stage of food was Om nom nom nom hahAHAH I did hit a three week stall after the third week but even though I didn't lose pounds I lost inches. I call it my condensing time! Hahh I measure everything!! I got some two ounce plastic cups at first then when I could eat more I got some four ounce containers from tupperware. If it doesn't fit I don't eat it! Hah only because I am a a fast eater! I never got in and still don't get much Water as they want in but I do my best! I downloaded my fitness pal and try and make sure I get enough protein! I eat Protein first then veggies most times!! I have had a slice if pizza a few times... Small piece no crust! I was setting my calories at 600 because that's about all I could get in. But I hit another stall.. I'm on it now so I upped it to 800 and found some Protein Bars called pure protein and eat half and them half later as snacks!! They are chocolate and a disciples treat! That's about it for now but I haven't had any problems (knock on wood) that others have had! I hope you have as good a luck as me! I lost 20 pounds pre op and I lost 38 pounds so far post op total 58! I have 13 more to hit wonderland!!! Yeah!!

    Getting in about 80 grams of Protein a day
    600 to 800 calories a day!
    No problem eating anything... Mainly stick to Protein and some veggies!

    I'm 8 weeks out and down 37 lbs... 57 all together! I had one very frustrating three week stall but it helped knowing everyone goes through it!! Good luck to you all and keep the faith!! You will be a loser!! Haha 14 more pounds to onederland!!

    I just got into size 16!! Woot!! Had one huge three week stall that was horrible but I got through it! I downloaded my fitness pal to help me make my Protein goals! I have between 600 and 800 calories a day! Sometimes I don't make the goal but I get darn close! How is everyone doing? I'm so happy to feel normal again! Went out and had prime rib!! It was yummy!! Of course my son has to eat the majority of it! Hahah

    You will not regret it! I am so much healthier and happier.. Not gonna say it was easy but it wasn't horrible either! It was well worth the small amount of discomfort for a few days!! I'm not ravenous any more... I get full quickly... I find myself choosing better food because I know I can only eat so much! I started in feb.. Lost 20 pre op... Was sleeved on 4/23 and am down 37 more pounds! I can fit into a 16 and an XL!! I haven't hit onederland yet!! That's my next goal!! I hit a horrible three week long stall from week 3 to week 6. The scale didn't move but my body shrunk! It was weird! Haha Don't weigh yourself every day!! The scale doesn't tell the whole story!! ; ) Good luck on your journey! You will love your new tummy!! I Do!!

    Congratulations! Good luck on your journey! I was sleeved 4/23 and am still figuring out things! Haha I love this site!! I take what people have for advice and their experience and try and make sense of what I am going through! It helps knowing others have the same experiences!! Like when I hit a three week stall. It wasn't as aggravating after I found out its normal and most people hit them at some point! I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

    I haven't had anything bother me.. I must have a cast Iron sleeve! Haha I can sit and eat watermelon for days! It's 90% Water anyway! At least up to now I haven't come across anything that really bothers me. As long as I measure everything I have been lucky I guess! Down 57 pounds and only hit one three week stall!

    Here's my take on it. 50% of WLS is the operation on our stomach; the other 50% of it is our own personal accountability/responsibility and positive attitude in the willingness to change our eating habits and lifestyles for the rest of our lives. Yep, it's huge change, for sure. The difference between this and any other time you have tried to lose weight is that now you have this powerful TOOL that, although it does not just sit there and work on its own, you now have the POWER to make it do great things for you that you have NEVER had before.
    Yes, of course exercise is important. But you do not have to be this crazy exercising fool. But you do have to have the healthy eating habits that those of us who got into this mess in the first place just did not have our whole lives. SO THAT (learning to eat healthfully and enjoy feeding your body nourishing food) is your FIRST and BIGGEST motivator.
    And keep remembering that you CAN make this all FUN and not a chore. . .

    I diwnloaded my fitness pal and it helps me to balance and stay within my goals as far as carbs/protein/fats and vitamins!! : ) oh ya and calories! I am hitting around 600 calories. 50% Protein, 30% fats 20% carbs.... Anyone have any idea if this is what it shod be? I just guessed!hab
