  1. 11 days post op and just started on soft foods... It was awesome!! Filled up on 2oz of cottage cheese!! Hecks ya!! No more pain just itchy incision areas. I believe after all the swelling goes down I will be able to eat 4oz of food at a time or 1/2 cup!! Gonna make sure I measure measure measure... Cause I don't wanna over eat and get sick or stretch my new tummy out! The no drinking 30 min before I eat and no drinking 1 hour after I eat still works to keep me feeling full longer!! I think this is gonna be a great change in my life!! So happy I did it! I started at 270 on feb 7th was 250 on operation day an am now 233!! Woot woot!! I know I'm due for a stall but I don't care! My cloths are falling off and I love it!
  2. I was sleeved on the 23rd.. Just started week two today because doc said starts when out if hospital and I stayed three nights..: / haha but the 2OZ of loose oatmeal for Breakfast was awesome and the 2oz of cottage cheese for lunch was awesome... The applesauce in between didn't do so well with it hurt my tummy.. Probably the acid.... Just had 2oz lose potatoes for dinner and it was FABULOUS!! Haha gonna have 2Oz of Greek yogurt later for a snack!! Such a great thing feeling full on 2OZ of food!! They say after a little while it will take 4OZ which is ok by me!! : ) I have been off pain meds since I came home from the hospital. I was sleeved on the 23rd.. 3. My doc has me off protein shakes all together after the second week! He wants me to get all my calories from solid food at that point. : ) so water is all I have to worry about! I am figuring a hard boiled egg for breakfast cause it's quick... Some Mac n cheese in my 2oz container and some cottage cheese in another for lunch... Then who knows for dinner I will be home by then! Hah

  5. I am a week and 4 days out PO and I will be going back after three weeks!! I know I am gonna have a hard time getting the water in! I am hoping I can drink more than I can by then at a time. I have a desk job mainly. But we'll see! I will have to take a big water bottle in and make sure I drink it when I can! I don't think it will be too bad if I come up short a little bit. I didn't drink 64oz pre op ever! Haha
  6. Fourth week through sixth week I can add soft veggies soft fruit... No seeds.... Soft Beans... Soft pasta/ Mac n cheese ect. Seventh week I can try anything but I have to eat Protein first then veggies then if room... I doubt it,,, carb I am basically never going to eat more than 1/2 a cup or 4 oz of food... I can only do 2oz right now but after all swelling is down I should be able to do 4oz. Of course I probably can do more at that point but I wanna treat my new tummy right and not stretch it out! So I resolved myself to never eating more than 4 oz at a meal. : ) also no drinking 30 min before and no drinking 1 hour after!
  7. First week was Clear liquids except Protein shake.... Sip sip sip Water and low sodium broth and dilutes juice tea or coffee that's it!! One ounce cups I had to fill and keep track of on a sheet he have me. 2oz of Protein Shake over 20 min first three days out if hosp then 3 oz over 20 min 3 x's a day. Second week all that but I get to have loose oatmeal/cream of wheat.. The low sugar kind.. And low fat cottage cheese small curd and apple sauce low sugar and loose mashed potatoes. I have to use a two oz cup when I have those and I have to take at least 20 min to eat them and no fluids 30 min before or 45 min after. Third week I can add 1/2 scrambled egg... 1/4 piece of toast... Tuna or salmon packaged... Can add condiments.... 1 or two crackers. Stop Protein shakes from now on!! No calorie drinking. Just water and zero calorie drinks.
  8. I have Chike protein drinks.. Pretty good!! Also they have an ice coffee that has tons of protein that is great!! I have that every morning!! : )
  9. Actually I called the doc today.. I am 10 days post op and yesterday was the first day my tummy was actually grumbling when I smelled the chicken my husband was cooking. It hadn't bothered me up till then. I still have a day before I can move a little on to soft food. I asked if I could start early and they said no it's head hunger but it sure felt like grumbling to me! Haha
  10. My doc took me out for three weeks to make sure I get my liquids In. I have full pay disability benefits and am FMLA approved. ; ) I am 10 days out and my incision areas still are sore so I am glad I have three weeks to recuperate.
  11. Don't worry everyone goes through stalls... I don't weigh myself a lot because of that. Sometimes you may be building muscle and that weighs more than fat. I am measuring my process on if I can move down to the next size!! Haha
  12. Congrats!!!! That is so awesome and inspiring! I am 8 days out and I am trying to follow docs orders to a tee!! Looking forward to cottage cheese this Sunday! Haha I started at 270 and am now 234. I only hope I do as well as you have!!! I am hoping to be down a bit for my sons wedding in October. It's going to be my "Coming out" party! Hahah most of my relatives will not have seen me since surgery. So it should be interesting!! Thanks for sharing!! Makes me smile as I sit here sip sip sipping my water!! Haha
  13. I am 1 week and 1 day post op... I also still get gas pains!! I am struggling to get my liquids in today because I have just been so busy... I think I am doing too much! Blah! I don't take any pain medicine. I have no problems getting around but now and then I get a twinge around my cuts on my tummy. 3 more days to cottage cheese!!! Wooohooooo can't wait! Haha
  14. That is awesome!! I hope I can get down that far for my sons wedding in October!! I started at 270 in feb was 155 PO and I am at 132 right now!! Woot! Chugging along! Best advice I can give people... Follow doctors orders!!
  15. One week out today!!! Doing great! Still small amounts of discomfort but nothing bad and mostly at night laying on my side!! Tried my jeans on today and they are so loose!!! But that's good cause my cuts are still tender!! Been living in my comfy pants with the draw string! Haha
  16. My doc sent me home with 1 oz cups and a sheet with 7 to 7 on the side and pictures if the cups four in line with every hour! Haha I have to fill in a cup every time I drink one! One ounce every 15 min. It's like a game!
  17. I haven't notices it either. I skip over all the negativity!! Hahaha I am 6 days post op and still in the early stages. Who cares what weight you start at? I feel we are all beautiful... We just want to be HEALTHY!! I believe that is the majority of people's goal!! So who gives a flying rats patootie what weight anyone starts at??

It doesn't bother me at all I just shake my head and wonder why someone would put themselves through it all just to go back to the same old habits?? It makes me scratch my head! But it doesn't bother me.. It's a free country!! Hahah I am 6 days out and I have and will continue to follow doctors orders to a tee! If I didn't want to do this I wouldn't have had the surgery.. But that's just me.
  19. This makes me happy to see!! I am so hoping to be down like that! My son is getting married in October! I am 6 days out and down 32 so far that includes 24 lbs pre op!! Thanks for the incentive!! You look absolutely stunning!! Way to go!!
  20. My doctor wants me off protein shakes all together after the first two weeks I am 6 days out. He does not want me "Driking" my calories. I cant wait for Sunday! I get to have Greek yogurt and cottage cheese!!! Hahah funny I don't ever feel hungry. I am down 12 lbs since surgery.
  21. I was taking pills right from the start! ?? I have not had any nausea at all "knock on wood"
  22. I'm only 5 days out but I'm still on restricted diet up until the 7th week... Even then I have to introduce other food carefully. Doc said some food won't be tolerable. Your stomach isn't completely healedy for at Least 6 months!! Be careful! If something bothers you don't eat it! Listen to your new tummy!! : )
  23. I have a list of things I can eat and only low sodium broth is in it as far as soups. My Doc doesn't allow any soup until the fourth week! : ( I can't complain though because I have lost about 13 lbs in the past 5 days!!
  24. I had mine done in Saratoga ny and had Dr. Baronov. He has been awesome and is extremely smart and informative! Great bedside manner and hilarious accent as he is Russian. He did an awesome job with me and has been right on the money with his information!!
