  1. Give us an update on how you're feeling. Thanks !
  2. I drank 2 sips of white wine a month after. It didn't taste the same. At three months out I may sit on 3 ounces of white wine once a week for about 4 hours - that was Friday night by the way - What I have found is the following 1- my favorite Pinot Grigio tastes mostly like unripened grape juice with an acidy kick 2- red wine while ok in the past not my preference - won't even make it down my throat past one sip 3- moscato - can you say sweet? Syrupy and nasty sweet. Like you added a pound of sugar when it called for a few ounces. My taste buds have changed. In some cases am just figuring it out. But with wine most certainly I did have a peach lambic (beer) and finished the whole thing. I allowed it to go a little flat first. Not much carbonation to begin with but tasted better than wines. I can't tolerate cosmos- my fav drink pre surg Can't do martinis - medicinal tasting. Well there you go
  3. I had my nose done a few years ago. Almost all the plastic surgeons I met were wonderful. I talked to them about what I wanted and asked to see pictures of past work. Amazing how many of them have spent time giving of their skills and time in areas of the world to repair genetic and birth defects. The one I ultimately chose travels 4 times a year to various locales doing hair lip fixes to children. The stark contrast between dr m and this son of a female dog is amazing and incomprehensible to me. Don't get me wrong all the plastics guys I met in NYC were ultra diva and think they're God but they also have a give back/humble side. At no time was I treated like this. And I wasn't a Middle Aged suburban cutey mommy. I was obese and wanting a bump removed. And maybe a boob lift. He told me to lose 50 pounds and come back to talk to him. Ok. Done. You need to also report to whatever medical board you have up there that deals with the appropriate and ethical treatment of patients. Hugs from New Jersey babe!
  4. Try some prune juice or laxative. A week is a bit long. It will be painful if you let it continue Ask you doctor for appropriate stool softener you should use but definitely go prune juice or laxative now. There should be a little something in there
  5. At the airport I go for a sandwich Usually they have somewhere with deli. Here at Newark they make huge sandwiches and I order one. Have them wrap the 2 haves separately First half I remove the break and eat the deli meats for lunch. I keep the other half for later on in the travel day. Many places at airport also have yogurts, some fruits and veggie packs In a pinch - like today- I went to starbucks and grabbed an egg salad sandwich and just removed 1 piece of the multigrain bread and ate the other half.
  6. Medicare is a federal program and does not very from state to state Medicaid is a program run by individual states and the rules very widely from state to state

  8. I travel for work at lest once a ml th. I have found that I tend to lose no weight on trips - not enough Water usually. But I don't gain so yay me You can do this. Just follow your doc and nutritionist rules and slowly but surely. The other thing when I am traveling is I rarely get out to see the sights ever. Just inside of offices and hotels. Well since June I've made a real point to get out for a walk. I usually walk every night. In Dallas 3 nights and 1 mile per night in plano Chattanooga 2 nights and walked from hotel, along river, and back to hotel each night. 3 miles round trip each night. Scranton next week. Let's see what o can come up with.

  13. So there are many hospitals in the nation who self insure. And when they do this their employees are given extremely good rates for seeking all care at that hospital and its employee physicians. It's really unfortunate that they up and left and have no other options. However the situations sounds really fishy and perhaps you saved yourself a lot of heartache and complications in the long run

  21. I developed asthma around age 30. Now 44. The sleeve has helped immensely ! Haven't used my 3 inhalers since surgery. I will tell you- and this sounds ridiculous - that my pulmonologist and PCP both feel that I had silent reflux and that exacerbated the asthma. Considering the acid is getting better as I am on ppi and have not used inhalers or nebulizer. Maybe they're right who knows. I would suggest you discuss with a pulmonologist asap to determine where your asthma is coming from Can be excercise and you always had it or could be the acid creating it in which case a ppi can help you resolve it.
