    March 2014 Sleevers

Thank you Victronica! I wouldn't have found the Soup if you hadn't mentioned it. The red roasted pepper bisque is my favorite too!
  2. @@PdxMan - thanks so much for sharing the link. The visual demonstration really surprised me at just how fast the food gets flushed with minimal amounts of liquid. I will remember this every time I'm tempted to drink too soon. Thanks again.

Sounds like your surgeon's guidelines are bit more lenient than mine. I'd stay away from jelly altogether since you should be keeping sugar to a bare minimum. Plus, a lot of jams and fruit spreads have tiny seeds which lodge in staples. Good luck finding something that does the trick. I've found a great soup that works for me. It's by Pacific and is roasted pepper & tomato. Some others mentioned it earlier in this thread which is how I found it

    March 2014 Sleevers

This is well said. Though I must admit I feel extremely blessed after reading these posts. I am 11 days post op and 44 yrs old. I was released the day after my surgery which included repairing a hiatal hernia. Minimal pain and gas. No nausea. I left post op day 4 for spring break with my husband and 4 kids. It did suck not being able to partake in all of the water activities but not once have I regretted my choice. I'm feeling great and super hopeful for my future. I just can't wait to get home so I can get on a scale and see what's going on. I already see the difference in my clothes. For those of you struggling I really hope you all feel better really soon. This is the best thing we could have done for ourselves. Hang in there, you are worth it.
  5. I had mine removed several years before wls but my doc removes it when performing the sleeve if it is still there.
  6. My doc only required clear liquids and bowel prep the day prior. Just had my sleeve on Wednesday. So far so good. Good luck!

    anyone with a march date?

Had my sleeve yesterday and still in the hospital because I haven't voided. Take note, drink plenty of water the day before surgery or you be sitting here like me. I'm feeling so much better and totally ready to go. Now, if could just pee!

    Pre-op diet timeframe?

Thanks ladies! That makes me feel better. I may opt to do the extra day as well. Sounds like a good idea.

    anyone with a march date?

I'm scheduled for the 19th. I'm super excited but nervous too. My biggest fear is that my expectations are too high.
  10. I'm scheduled to have surgery this coming Wednesday the 19th. I just found this app and can't help but wonder about the pre-op diet. My doctor only has me on a liquid diet the day before surgery. Most posts I see here talk about two weeks or more. Anyone else have such a short timeframe for the liquid diet?

    Wait for Self Pay

I had to wait about two months but only because we discovered a sleep apnea which needed to be treated. Between that doctors schedule and my surgeon only performing surgery one day per month it wound up being about two months. I'm scheduled for Wednesday and I'm super excited and nervous at the same time.
