I had bad gerd prior to gastric bypass . When I talked to my surgeon he suggested the bypass because the sleeve tends to make acid reflux worse. I did go with my surgeons suggestion sense after my surgery I have not had reflux . I would consider the bypass . It will make you a heathy person .

Update on me- did my VERY FIRST 5K today!!
It was the color run in Orange beach.. Walked most of it but I'm so proud of myself!

If I can do it, we all can! Pretty sore but so worth it

Went to my 4week post op today I am down 31lbs. Yeah. I am now moving in to regular foods no more puree. I am so glad . I can believe a month as gone by already .

Gas pains after surgery is awful walk walk walk it will help a lot.
Glad everything went well for everyone today.

I stayed two night. But it was the dr choice if thought I was ready to go home or not. He had to make sure I was able to drink and keep it down .

Congrats to everyone have surgery tomorrow. I am now 10 days post op today. And feel great. There is quite a few of you having surgery tomorrow. Tomorrow will start the first day of the rest of your life .

You are gonna do great . And soon you be starting a new life , new you .

This is my first post, but I'm looking for some words of encouragement for my surgery tomorrow. I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30, so that means getting up around 3 a.m. I'm so excited to start this new part of my life! Any words of wisdom?

Pretty good as I'm munching on my Protein pop lol a bit nauseas and dehydrated but going to try to drink drink drink today.
Haven't been sleeping well (muscle cramps?)
But it's a new day!
