  1. Happy 39th Birthday kimmy!

  2. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary kimmy!

  3. you can contact your local natropath and they can hook you up with liquid multivitamin that is a much higher quality then childrens chewables or even a local health food store. I put mine in a small breakfast smoothie along with flax seed oil and fish oil, sounds gross but it is seriously good for you and camoflauged well with blueberries!
  4. Hey guys... Quick question, I am finding it very difficult to eat lean protein now that I think I've got the proper fill. It seems to be much easier to eat eat the things I shouldn't. Any suggestions for lean proteins and how I can start functioning as a successful banded loser? I've been doing great on excercise I just keep cheating on the carbs. I think...rather, I know I'm addicted to sugar. I don't have any support groups or really any accountability, my surgery was down in Mexico and I think the nutritioist is irritated with me (she won't reply to my emails) even though I've been blessed by my experience there and have not complained once. Maybe I need to complain a little, maybe I'm flying under the radar! Anyway, I guess I'm feeling a little isolated in this experience since I've been banded. I haven't told the majority of my friends, just my hubby and my daughters. The BMR calculator was helpful, I've decided to be more like you guys and really be more proactive and determined to make this work! I would love some advice from my fellow banded peers????? Thanks ...Kimmy P.S I'm 207 wanting to be 147 Oh dream a little dream!
  5. I was banded in Monterrey Mexico with Dr. Romberto Rumbaut, he was wonderful, the Dr.s here in Washington who do my fills say they love his work, and had some great things to say about him. My cost was $9,500 . with a lower BMI I wouldn't worry to much about CS. The one good thing about having the band is that the weight loss is 1-2 lbs. a week so slow weight loss means less saggy skin...
  6. Wow.....now I'm nervous! I have had some concerns about a leak as well. I went in for my 1st fill in September and I had it done under fluro. 2 weeks later I had no restriction so I went back in and they said that the fluid was gone. They told me to not worry until the next fill lost its restriction...well here I am and I can eat about 3 cups of food! That fill was about 3 weeks ago, Yikes! I am really nervous because I had my band done by Dr. Rumbaut in Mexico. I can't afford to pay for another surgery! Does anyone have any advice for me? Has anyone experienced difficulties and had a positive experience with their Mexico Dr.s stepping up? How common are leaking bands? P.S I love this website, it rocks! In need of advice.... Kimmy
  7. Hello there... I am getting my first fill on the 27th of August and I am soooo excited. Lately I have been able to increase my food volume and I am concerned about gaining weight. I have started exercising to try to balance it out. It's nice to hear others worried about wieght gain during this time. I weigh 205 (only here do you freely publish that info, I love it!) I have been staring at those pesky 6 lbs because I desperetly would love to fall below the 200's. I love this website, it's great. I really like how the experienced bandsters share their victories, it's very inspiring. Good luck you guys with your fills, I am envious you are ready for them!!!!!
