    Protein shots

I like the New Whey shots. I bought a 6 pack of them from Walmart. They taste pretty good. The watermelon tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher to me. I tried fruit punch as well. They both go down smoothly without making me sick. Hope this helps! Good luck to u!

    Taking it day by day!

Thanks everyone!! I can't wait for the pain to go away so I can stop taking the pain meds. They were originally going to send me home with Dilaudid but since that has caused me vomiting in the past they switched it to Percocet. It's uncomfortable taking them because I feel they're too big for my new stomach. It's hard getting one down, let alone 2 at a time as they prescribed. Everything makes me burp that goes down. Have any of you tried the Gas-X strips? Did they help at all?
  3. I'm currently 2 days post-op. Glad to be home but I must admit I feel like I've been hit by a bus. I've read alot of posts on here & you guys have been my inspiration that the pain will eventually get better. I've had no nausea or vomiting so that's a plus but the abdominal soreness is a killer. Probably more so because I'm used to constantly being on the move. Now I have to take my time with everything. It's also a struggle to get my Protein and Water in because I really dont feel hungry at all. Any suggestions? Even with my struggles, I feel no regret. I know eventually I'll feel great (just wish that time would hurry up! Lol) I'm committed to just take this journey day by day.
  4. Congrats!! You look amazing...keep up the good work!!

Thank you...Good luck with your journey!!
  6. I had my surgery yesterday and my cycle was on. They just had me keep a pad in between my legs. I was able to put mesh panties on afterwards.

    Today is the day!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!!
  8. I woke up this morning very excited! I am so anxious to change my life and become a healthier me. Even though I've gone back and forth with myself contemplating if I've made the right decision, I know I'm doing what's best. It seems so surreal now...like all the preparation I've done, appointment after appointment, test after test, my day is FINALLY here. It was a struggle but I made it! Heck I didn't think I could make it though my 2 week pre-op diet. Yet, every day it became easier and easier. 11 pounds down and I'm ready for more! I ask that all my fellow sleevers keep me in your prayers today as I'll keep you all in me! God Bless! Next post.....post-op! =)

  10. I've been pretty excited since I started this journey 5 months ago. I just made the call to find out what time I have to report Monday and now all of a sudden I'm super nervous! Scared about having any complications, gaining all my weight back, not waking up after surgery....etc! I can't believe my nerves are this bad now!
  11. My surgeon is Dr. Neff as well. I started my journey back in October and I'm scheduled for 3/24. He has been phenomenal! Very down to earth and personable. His office staff has also been great. I think I've called his insurance specialist Laurie a million times and she's always pleasant. At my last appoinment with him before i scheduled i had tons of questions and kept him in the room for almost an hour. He never rushed me to go see someone else and he answered everything thoroughly. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. Good luck in your journey!
