Getting banded tomorrow!
Good luck and that's a great attitude!

Second opinion...
Agree with tmf. As your date gets closer you'll want to follow up on critical details but I too learned things before some of my team did. It's hard for us to relax but just keep an eye on things and call them when you need to. Good luck.

embarrassed, but let's be transparent
Do a Taylor Swift and shake it off. Don't mess around with your pre op protocol but don't dwell on it or get stuck in self blame. You're compliant right now and you've got this! So. Plan ahead. Have protein ready the next time you are in that state. Some protein liquid shake or something that you are allowed. I was on clear liquids for the five days before my surgery but your protocol could be different. Even clear liquids can be found with protein like Isopure. If you need something reach for that. Then allow it to register hat you've had something. Protein holds you longer than soup or Popsicles. Pre op is very very hard but it's doable. Different discipline will be needed post op. We can handle these stages. We're not perfect but we worked way too hard to get surgical approval to lose it over food. Good luck and stay connected here and you got this!!!!

My Last Winter Being FAT!
I know ! I need a coat but I don't want to buy one that I'll fit in for only a few months. My size changes weekly. A good problem to have!

I crossed my legs today
Only here will people understand. I was actually afraid to try it until today. I have not crossed my legs the "dainty" way in many years. I joined the century club this week, and decided it was time to try crossing my legs in a chair. I was afraid that my belly would still be in the way. It was irrational and fear based. Today I decided to go for it at work in my cube. I crossed my right leg over my left and it worked. I crossed my left leg over my right and it worked. If I could type on my PC this way, I'd do it all day long. Crossing my legs is my new favorite activity. Happy NSVs to us all!

Feeling Discouraged like its never going to work.
Never give up. We worked too hard for our surgeries. I'm sorry you had these obstacles but please don't give up on yourself. Good luck.

Banders #6
Head hunger mixed with real hunger today. Ugh. So I took lunch an hour before I usually do because I couldn't stop thinking about food. I ate okay, didn't overdo it. I'm all frazzled this week. I'm close to Onederland and looking forward to a visit home from one college daughter. The other one isn't coming home until Thanksgiving. Im worried about money and my divorce and tuition that's due and and and ..... Some days just suck. But I will not overeat. I deserve the rewards for the work I've done to make my life and health better. None of these stressors are going to derail me. One. Giant. Nerve. Ending. That is all.

Who will you tell that you are having WLS?
Tell fewer people than you feel you want to. You may tell more later. Can't undo it. And people blab. I did not want opinions tossed my way.
-
What's your favorite mode of movement (exercise)?
Walking is the only thing I do and I need to do way more of it. I can be very lazy. I have a walking partner once a week and we walk about five miles in one evening.
-
How long were you off of work?
Surgery Thursday back to desk job Monday. Tired and sore but felt good to get back to regular life. On the treadmill one day post op on doctor's orders. Started at fifteen minutes and added a minute a day until I could walk two miles at 3mph. I'm 53.

Who did you tell?
Tell fewer people than you think you want to. I told five at first. Later added a few more. I do not welcome the Peanut Gallery's opinions.

What does the "green zone" feel like?
What @@labwalker said. If I eat Protein first and moderate portions and slowly and chewed well and I obey the stop signals I get I lose weight. I also stay unhungry for 4 hours. I don't snack. I'm at green now. Any tighter and I'll be getting stuck on the above. As it is now I only get stuck if I break those rules. If I eat carbs or anything other than protein first, I stop losing. The band is a helper. I have to do the work. I've had four fills.

Size zero - har!
It was a 0x in a plus size store. It just cracked me up. The Petite comes from the length. Trust me I'm not a zero or even a sixteen. I base sizes on a Levi's shirt I bought in 1978 marked L that fit me well when I weighed 156 pounds at 5'6". That's my goal shirt. Today it would probably be considered a negative five. Yes these slacks are from Catherine's and they are the smallest ones in a style I like. Unfortunately regular slacks usually don't fit my thick waist, no matter what my size. So although I'm happy to have gone down so much, i'm kind of dreading the day when I have to buy slacks in a regular store.

Size zero - har!
It was 0x, not 0. But it made me laugh.

Surgery Tomorrow Morning
Good luck!

Your response to: "but you aren't 'THAT' big!"
I can lose weight. Without wls I can't keep it off.

Banders #6
I've never had long hair and a thin body at the same time. So I'm not cutting it short until I reach goal. And maybe not then.
