Complete and *OFFICIAL* List of Every Celebrity Who Had Weight Loss Surgery
Many of these celebrities have inspired countless regular folks to seek life saving WLS. Thanks to them, the stigma continues to be reduced. I'll bet at least a few of them are on these forums. If so, thank you.

Divorce rates and WLS. (link to article inside)
I would like to hear from people who intentionally finally took the WLS plunge BECAUSE they knew it would give them strength and confidence to leave an unhealthy marriage.

Second fill feels tighter two weeks after the fill
Hi Banders, I've heard of fills feeling less tight after they "settle in" a few weeks after adjustment. But my band feels tighter than it did right after my second fill two weeks ago. It's harder for me to eat solid Protein for Breakfast and yesterday I barely got three small bites of a pork chop down at dinner and felt it immediately. I know mornings and meats like pork are common for banders to feel more restriction. I'm just puzzled because right after the fill I didn't notice this. Also, certain foods just go right down, like salads and bread and I tried popcorn too. I need to watch out that they don't become sliders for me. After this fill two weeks ago I thought I'd need a third one in July at my next appointment. But now I'm thinking I need to live with this level for a bit. I don't want to count my chickens before they're hatched, but could I be hovering around my green zone so soon? I will say I've been under a crapload of emotional stress this week. Is that a real factor? I stay satisfied for close to 4 hours and I don't snack. Thoughts?

From the mouths of babes
My daughters have been completely supportive. They're college age now but I sure wish I had been banded when they were little.

IF YOU COULD tell yourself this 1 thing BEFORE U HAD SURGERY what would THAT BE?
It's real, and it works.

Helpful? Not.

R U ready to recieve your Healthy Body? What R the TOP things you are excited to do when you hit your goal?
I love the Dream Board idea. I started a list when I began researching WLS but I misplaced it once I changed phones. Time to write a new list. Not all of my to-dos are happy. Most are, but as many of us know, many obese people have some big life changes to make, like continuing to live with toxic people. I know that part of my WLS this year was to kick my butt into gear to do some tough things I've waited way too long to do out of fear. I knew if I took control of my eating and my body that I would be strong enough to make the needed changes. I can't hide in my food anymore. WLS is helping me be powerful, and I'm going to need that.

Share Your NSVs Here Please!
I went down two sizes in underwear. I was forced to buy new panties when my old ones fell down at my surgeon's office.

Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
Yes. So sick of being fat every day of my life.

Post-op Gas Pains
Ask somebody to rapidly karate chop your neck and shoulders a few times a day and walk walk walk.

Lapband clear liquids?
Isopure from GNC or Ensure Clear from CVS or any grocer. I prefer broth but these are high protein and will hold you longer. Good luck!!!!

AIR TRAVEL AFTER LAP BAND
Hi @@AllieBB, I was 9 weeks post band and 17 days past my first fill when I flew to Italy. I was worried about feeling too tight because your feet and hands and yes, your organs swell when you fly. My surgeon's office said I would be okay but to be safe I may want to plan nothing but liquids half an hour before, during and after my flights. I was fine. I even got hungry enough to eat the in flight meal vvveeerrrrrryyyyy slowly and chewed thoroughly. No tightness at all and I was fine. I also had an incredible time and loved every moment of the trip. Just speak to all of your team and get some tips and pointers before you go. Also, I was fully healed at nine weeks out so that wasn't an issue.

Banded on June 3rd
LOL! Narcotics -- use em while you got em.

Overreacting? I want water!
Just a question for anybody here. I have the Lapband, and I was told I can drink all the way up to my meal, but I must stop during my meal and for 20-30 minutes after my meal. What is the logic for not drinking before the meal with the other surgeries?

Sleeping
It got a little better for me each day, but I think it was around two weeks when I didn't have discomfort turning over. It was sore for quite a while, but I still slept on my stomach right away. Now I don't even notice my port when lying down. I'm almost three months post op.

Banded 4-21-14 & Struggling
shake yourself off, regroup and make better food choices today. Okay, that was for me. @@lcoolpix, feel free to use that advice if you need to! Most of us have days here and there that are less than perfect. I had a great weight loss week so what did I do? Made some dumbass food choices recently. I need to take the above advice I just gave myself and move forward.
