  3. Oh good. That's a good idea Junebug. Thanks ladies, I was worried something was wrong.
  4. Have a any of y'all had weird moments that it's hard to breath but you feel like you need to burp and nothing is happening I've had this problem since the surgery and I'm not sure if it's normal.

  6. Hey girls! Yay for going home weevie! You sound like your doing much better! I'm so ready to be done with liquids. I've noticed I'm getting full a lot faster, even just with the liquids. I've been doing thinned out cream of wheat and that helps sustain me longer. The list said it was approved so I went with that. I'm totally having a potato tomorrow. I've been dreaming about it lol.
  7. Thank you guys! It seems two to three weeks is about what I should expect. That's god to know.

  12. Drink hot things to relieve the tightness. I've been having that trouble too. I also put an ice pack on my belly to help the swelling. I have a big pillow that I sleep on with arms on the sides. I sleep with a heating pad under my back because laying on my back hurts. I'm not gonna lie, I love the pain killer. My husband has an alarm and get it to me in the middle of the night since it's such a production for me to get out of bed. I have been have soups and muscle milk, I love muscle milk. I get the light kind, it has 100 calories and like 12-15 grams of programs. I've been drinking a LOT of tea, Tulsi, it's caffeine free. Mostly that. I tried pudding and that was a mistake. Way too heavy. My mom took before pictures for me. I tried to upload it but it turned sideways.
  13. I so hope you get discharged soon. I hate being in the hospital. It's the most boring place. I'm glad you're able to keep liquids down. Have either you or plopez had moments where your breath catches and it's hard to breathe for a second? That hurts. I'm glad we found each other. Y'all have been great resources to me.
  14. I just had my surgery on Friday and I've not been sleeping well. When will I be able to sleep on my stomach? Right now I'm sleeping on my back propped up with a pillow but it's not exactly good sleep. But sleeping on my stomach or even side hurts and bleeds a bit. I'm trying to do what's best, I just want some sleep.

  18. Oh man,. I'm doing great. I was pretty bad on Saturday but luckily my mom was here and she took care of me. I'm still hurting but it looks worse than it feels. I'm able to keep liquids down, I'm walking during every commercial break. This is the first I've really gotten on the computer since then so sorry it took me so long to get back to y'all. How are you guys doing?

  20. I haven't been writing them down either but I've basically been eating meat, cheese and salad with olive oil. My head was killing me today. I'm super nervous too. Do you have an endoscopy tomorrow? I have mine and it's at 7 am in SA. Whew that's early.
  21. Hi plopez mine is next Tuesday at the same time. I did get clarification on the carb thing though. It's 20 calories total, so I was wrong.

  24. I think it's just doctors preference. My mom had to do a liquid diet for the two weeks before surgery.
  25. I've had them yes, they're pretty good. The net carbs in it are 1 or 2 I think. The part I'm not sure about it are we doing the net carbs or actual carbs. Paul said to follow the Atkins diet to I got the book and have been doing it that way.
  26. I am doing the Atkins. It's day 4 for me too. I just had a burger patty with some cheese and an Atkins snack bar. Those things are really good. I made a drunken pot roast and mixed it with broccoli, breakfast sausage patties and now I'm working on hamburger patties for the week. I like planning ahead. I cheated a little yesterday though. My friend was being baptized and we had lunch at her sisters house, I had a sandwich on a half a piece of whole grain bread and then some panacotta, which had a very little bit of sugar.
  27. What a coincidence! We might run into each other on surgery day lol.
