  4. I am going through the same thing. I had my surgery in September 07 and I have had four fills. The first two fills I noticed I had some restriction. With the last two fills I have feel like I have no restriction. I never was able to lose weight fast, but I was ok with that because I was losing, but now I am stuck! I haven't lost anything since March . I just got my fourth fill on June 20 & I keep hoping that I will start to fill some restriction, but I don't think it is going to happen. It is really hard not to give up, but I am not going to quit! I am still going to work out and eat right. Good luck to you all!

    12 Steps of Overeaters Anonymous

    I am glad I found this thread. I never knew there were OA support groups out there. I have signed up this morning for an on-line support group. I am attending an online meeting this morning. I am very nervous because I have never admitted this to anyone before. I know this is going to be an emotional roller coaster ride for me and I hope I can be strong and deal with my problems.

    Any 9/07 bandsters losing slower?

    Yes, I am losing slow! But I know it is my fault. I haven't been eating all that great. My problem was I was working my a** off and gained 3 lbs, so then I just got frustrated and have been eating like a non banded person. I know I need a fill & I have one scheduled, so I hope it will help. But back to you. Have you tried changing your exercise routine? I have heard that your body gets use to your routine and you stop losing (don't know if true, but worth a try). Also, I don't know if you track everything you eat. I know that I may not think I am eating as much, but I really am. Good luck!

    Thank you everyone for your replies. I have started coming back on to this site every day again. It helps to see other people doing so well. It really motivates me. I am not going to give up. I am going to lose this weight! I am going to start tracking my food again and exercise like a mad woman again! Thank you again for the support! Let's get SKINNY!
  9. I was banded in Sept 07. I wasn't losing weight fast, but that was ok. I didn't tell people that I had the surgery, so it was ok that the weight was slowly coming off, but coming off. So I would say since Feb I haven't lost really anything. I know it is my fault and not the bands. My last fill was in March and it didn't do a thing for me. I actually feel like I could eat more now than I could before that last fill. I kept telling myself give it some time because I have read on here were people say their fill kicked in a few weeks later. Well mine hasn't. I have scheduled another fill and I pray that it will help me and get me back to being motivated. What really gets me down is I feel like if I eat 1 bad carb I gain a pound. So does this mean I am no longer allowed to eat a bad carb for the rest of my life? Is this normal? I use to be on this site all day long every day. Then I stopped coming around and I think that is one reason I am not motivated. I need you people! I can't fail at this too!

    I haven't been on this site in a while and I haven't been staying on plan and the scale shows it :thumbup:. Today is a new day and I am staying on plan because I did not have this surgery to only lose 40lbs. I am going to make my goal. It may take me longer than others, but I am going to do this! I deserve this!

    Pizza, Steak, and Ground Beef

    So far I have not had any problems with any food. I choose for the most part not to eat pizza or bread because to me it isn't worth all that chewing and once it has been in my mouth for a long time it is just nasty. I eat ground beef and steak all kinds of ways and haven't had any problems. I just chew and chew. If it doesn't turn into mush then I don't swallow it and I just throw it away.
