  1. Hi Kil. In Australia a gastric sleeve seems to be the preferred option. I'm glad to be losing the weight I put back, but it is harder this time! If your current weight is 144 you must be looking fabulous! I'm heading to Florida in June for a conference and hope I'm close to my goal I love my band, and am happier with I, but my goodness reflux is awful when I can eat things I really shouldn't. This new band is a real contradiction!
  2. Hi all. I got my first band in 2005, and reached goal weight within 12 months. My band was an original J &J, and had 5 ml capacity... And basically, I had restriction from day 1. Fast forward 7 years... I woke up and realised I had no restriction. No pain, just no restriction and felt hunger... Something I'd forgotten! And I fed that sucker. went to the doctor who refilled... Back again a week later. Tried again. Various X-rays, barium X-rays, gastroscopy, a port replacement and then, finally... 12 months later, a new band. 5 months in and I'm losing weight, but this band is so different. Im down about 44 lbs, but I'm suffering reflux and have only a small fill. Yep, I'm going back to have this looked at. I've been at this for too long to let it slide, but wow. It's different. Anyone else got a second band?
