BCBS insurance question
I have BCBS of Missouri and my primary did the medically supervised diet. However, my surgeon's office did ask if I had any documented WW (like my doctor was aware), because that would have counted. Of course, every policy is different. Good Luck!!

6 months out and HICUPS.... anyone? LOL
I'm about 8 weeks out and hiccups seem to be my full signal. My hubby just laughs & says you're done. Thankfully they don't last long and so far have not been painful.

Struggling :(
I agree. I have found so many recipes and ideas on there...love the ricotta bake!

Looking for post Surgical buddy's
Overall, I've been feeling pretty good since surgery. Still getting used to when I'm full...but hiccups seem to be my cue, even before I feel it! Thankfully, unlike some, I have rarely thrown up & most of those instances have been right after my Multivitamin. My doctor said to not worry about taking them for right now since I'm doing OK with food and we'll try again in a month. I am able to take all of my other Vitamins though. Hope you had a great 4th. DH took us out on the Mississippi for a bit on the boat...I could actually fit into one of my "old" tank tops! My knees are sore & had a bit of trouble, but he helped...and said not to feel bad, that I was better than I was & I'll continue to improve. such a nice ego boost!

lightheaded
I was allowed to have popcicles & jello. Those seemed to help. Having a protein shake when I started feeling that way helped a lot too...good luck!!!

Protein bars
If you send them an email on the site, Quest will send you bars to try. When I asked, they had me choose 2 bars. They pick up all of the cost. They also periodically run specials for a free bar. There are variety boxes on the site & on Amazon too.

Which calcium do you use post op-need examples please
I recently switched to BA Chewable Caramel because the chewable pills were making me nauseous. The Caramel is almost a treat! I got the 500 mg so I only need to take 3 a day. I know you can get them on Amazon. I have gotten them from MyBariatricPantry...my favorite shop lately. When I checked they were cheaper than Amazon. I'm sure it's available direct from BA, but I haven't checked. My doctor and NUT also frown on gummies too

4 days post op & regretting surgery
I'm 3 days out and the Zofran has been a big help. I can't stand Gatorade, but I have taken G2 mixed with Water...and have instantly felt better. I'm doing good on fluids, but not yet up to what I should be at. Hope you feel better soon and like someone else said, don't hesitate to go to the ER, that's what they are there for

May 14th
I had mine on the 14th as well. Not much change in the scale...was actually up a little when I came home. Not surprised with as swollen as my stomach is. Feeling quite a bit better today. I keep walking and listening/feeling the gas bubbles rumble

Hi patt0122...Dr. Ricks is doing mine. The office has been really nice and helpful so far. DePaul is actually closer for me, but all the support groups were during the day, so I wouldn't be able to go. It's exciting & kind of scary too!

How to deal with people, specially family
Only you know your marriage, but I think it would be best to tackle that discussion sooner rather than later. I'm thankful I've had my husband's support while I looked into this choice for years. I am scheduled for May 14th and he actually helps keep me on track when I have doubts & second guess my decision. I am doubly blessed that he continues to do that even though we are going through a rough patch- no matter how bad everything else is, he's been there for that. Your husband may surprise you once you share your feelings about this! I hope he does because his support will help you tremendously. Good Luck!
