  1. @Bufflehead thank you! I've donated a lot but still have a lot of work clothes that are too big. Some still have tags on them - so I may check them out for my newer stuff, shoes, etc
  2. Was just reading an article on ThredUp, a site to buy/sell clothes & other items in good shape. I'll probably look at it once I get home from work, but was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the site. Thanks!!
  3. I love Chike!! I make mine with unsweetened almond milk...and sometimes add some SF syrup (like Torani chocolate, caramel, etc). I ordered extra from Amazon last time so I won't run out!!
  4. Starting weight is 228. Thanks Susan!!!
  5. I'm in. Goal weight 215 Thanks Susan!!
  6. Didn't make goal, but at least scale is still moving in the right direction. 229 this week. Thanks Susan!!!
  7. I had to laugh because just this weekend I accidently put my fitbit one (which I really like) through the washer & dryer. It came out fine and apparently a trip through the wash (both front load machines) is 7800 steps!!
  8. 231 this week...Thanks Susan
  9. 231 this week. Thanks Susan!
  10. From what I read a long time ago, for the full effect, you need to grind Flax seeds, but you don't have to grind Chia seeds. I always used my coffee grinder for the Flax. I have a bag of Chia at home to try & wasn't really sure what to do with it - glad I found this thread!!
  11. @BLERDgirl oh she listens! A dog hears you & comes running, a cat hears you & just doesn't care. LOL My three cats are the same and sometimes I think the DH is getting in touch with his feline side too!!
  12. 231 this week. Thanks Susan!
  13. Apples are good if you can have them - you may want to take the skin off, that is harder to digest. When I was 3 weeks, I found a lot of times that I thought I was hungry it was either gas/acid or I was actually thirsty and needed fluids. I would use a chewable GasX and if I still felt "hungry" I would start sipping more. Most times that would satisfy me. Congrats on your progress so far & good luck!!
  14. 233 today. Thanks Susan!!
  15. @Babbs Thank you for the Urban Dictionary definition - I needed that laugh while eating lunch! Reminds me of the joke we sometimes say...."That's it! I'm taking all of my toys out of the sandbox & going HOME" (in my best Joisey accent). And before any one complains...I grew up in NJ
  16. While I always had issues, like you the constipation was truly horrible in the weeks after surgery. Thankfully, 8 months out it is not as frequent. I'm sure being able to add real foods has helped tremendously. The first few months after surgery I was mixing Miralax with my Protein shakes about every other day. If it was still bad, I would take a dose of MOM. My doctor said it was OK, but you should check with yours. The stool softeners didn't really work for me, but they have for others. Now I buy a container of Vitafusion Fiber gummies at Sam's. I take 5 a day. That and being able to add veggies & fiber have made me near normal. Hang in there...hopefully with time you will be just fine too. I truly feel your pain & hope it corrects itself soon!!!
  17. I was off for two weeks. Probably could have gone back sometime that second week if I had to, but was glad to have the extra time to rest/adjust.
  18. I'd like to join...goal of 225. Thank you so much for doing these challenges Susan!!
  19. Happy New Year! 234...survived the holidays & met my goal Thank you Susan!
