  3. 4 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 4th Anniversary darknlovely3!

  4. I was the same way, I was banded in Aug.2007 and I think the very first few days I ate because I was HUNGRY. But when you go back for your fills it will be a totally different story......trust me!!!

    so disappointed!

Wow this is just what I needed to hear the day before my first visit, I was banded on Aug. 24 and I was so certain that I would be getting my first fill tomorrow. It just scares me to think that I won't. See, I feel the same way, I'm slowly eating as much food before the band it feels like there is no restriction and for him not to give me a fill tomorrow I think I might re-arrange his office. So how much did you lose?

    Conflicting advice?

Cherrybomb, I agree with you, I am reading on here that most of the doctors saying that you will be on liquids for at least 2-4 post-op, but my doctor also said that I could start what is called functional foods and its only been a week since surgery. And this diet consist of real food!

    I need some encouragement guys!

Did you find that when you ate the burger and potatoe salad you were full for a long time? I had a very small piece of chicken and about a tablespoon of green beans yesterday around 5 and I'm still full the next day I can't eat any breakfast.

    3 Days Post Op

Hi strawberry, I don't know what to think about this but I am 1 week out of surgery and I called my dr's office today to inform them that the Protein shakes makes me feel really bad and besides I don't like them I don't even drink milk and the nutrionist told me to start on my "functional food meal plan" which consists of Breakfast: 4-8oz - low fat yougrut, or cottage cheese 1-2 whole eggs or substitute 1 Protein shake or bar Lunch: 3-4oz meat cooked fruit or vegetables---eat until satisfied and the same for dinner

LINDSAY, We are in the same boat, I hate the taste of those shakes and besides they give you a lot of gas. I ate some baked fish because my stomach was growling and I thought I was hungry! I had my surgery on the 24th also and what were you talking about when you said loosing hair, I have beautiful hair also and it was already shedding prior to surgery please don't tell me I'm going to loose my hair!
