Hi Julie I live just south of Grimsby. I was banded in Feb of this year after dieting all my adult life - I'm now 65 and a Granny. I needed to lose 45 pounds, (not a lot by many standards but I've always felt fat) and have managed 32 so far, but it's not been easy. Would love to hear your story and how you are getting on Jenny
  2. Hi ussr28. Well done on that superb first week loss. I am in the same situation as you I am on day 5 having had my Band fitted on 20th Feb. Also had a hernia repair at same time. Sadly had a bad reaction to anaesthetic which means I don't yet feel too good, but so far have not felt hungry! You've inspired me to get on the scales and see how it's going. Have a similar amount of weight to lose and started with BMI of 32. Having read lots of posts guess the best way to move onto solids is very slowly, introducing small amounts at a time. After all I think we all want to end our previous destructive relationship with food and get our lives back. Good luck
