dinner tonight: chickpea penne (yummy!), a homemade Tomato sauce that has no sugar added to it. And chicken breast breaded in seasoned coconut flour, pan fried in coconut oil before finished being baked in the oven. Then being topped with the Tomato sauce and mozzarella. :) leftovers will be lunch tomorrow.

I’ll be okay. I’m stuck in the 170s I’ve bounced into the 160s but then my weight shoots back up the extra 2 lbs and is refusing to go down. This has happened at the 220s, 210s 200s and 190s I seemed to slide right through the 180s though. I’m hoping that this slump will pass soon and I’ll be down into the 150s soon. 147 is considered a healthy weight for me so I’m not too far from that. My goal would be the 120s but until i get the excess skin removed I don’t know if that’s possible. On 04/11/2019 at 06:54, ALFxRNY said:
Wow, that is a lot to unload. Sorry about the Hashimoto’s and having a difficult time. Figuring out food/protein is definitely a difficult task. Praying things get way better for you. Still alive over here but struggling to lose the last few pounds to get out of the 200s. Pretty much I’ve just been trying to find a new place but also doing some freelance work in the meantime for others. So not much going on on my end.clsumrall and Frustr8 reacted to this -
How is everyone?? I’m alive. For now. Been struggling with some medical conditions lately (was just diagnosed with Hashimotos), still dealing with problems that come from starvation (can’t afford food or meds or anything....) Thought I’d share my Breakfast with y’all. It’s a banana with a little Peanut Butter, a small amount of honey, and some chia seeds sprinkles on top. Not much, but it’s something.
I quit my job due to my unexpected illness, and am now moving cross country. I posted my resume online and have gotten one phone call so far for an interview. Hoping that I can survive long enough to get a decent paying job. (Moving up in the world!) -
I wanted so share some photos. The one with me and my cousin was actually a while ago but I was the same weight before my surgery. Started at 252 and am down to 168. I’ve come a long way. Anyways I posted the first picture on my Facebook from since my surgery. I’m in a medium shirt!! Omg!! The skinny girl on the left is my cousin. Love her so much 😂 :)

Finished my appt. my blood sugar was low. My husband gave me a kit Kat (has 22g sugar in it) ate that and feel much better now. Going to the store and going to pick up some apple juice and maybe something else like a couple bananas. That’ll help me a ton.

I’m at the doctors now they just pricked my finger. I’m on a drug that lowers blood sugar and haven’t been eating much sugar because of the surgery. So they think this might be the correct diagnosis. On 03/13/2019 at 08:00, Bari_KS said:
Correction: reactive hypoglycemia -
I’m 6 (almost 7) months post op. The last few weeks I’ve been experiencing some strange symptoms. My chest hurts when I exhort too much energy, my arm gets numb. I’m extremely tired, can’t walk for long without becoming light headed 🥴 it’s been getting better (the doctor put me on a steroid after running every test in the books) they helped. I ran out and I started becoming shaky while at the store. So I did something I don’t typically do. I bought a Reese’s and ate one and the shaking stopped pretty quickly. Got me thinking that maybe everything has to do with my blood sugar. Every single symptom is listed for hypoglycemia. Has anyone experienced this?

I’m going to brave the thrift shops in salt lake today and then go to chipotle for a burrito bowl with no rice and added guacamole 😍😍 of which I’ll eat maybe 1/3 lol

I wonder if that’s true in SLC. Out here it’s just big families who pass their old stuff down to their youngest kids or it’s college student. One of our thrift stores just closed down recently. I’ve never had much luck at the other one because people finally purge stuff that should have been burned in the 80s . I always had great luck elsewhere. Especially Colorado but out here people are like “oh this item is still usable” and it most certainly is not. I had one lady donate old clothes to me... it was bad. Like shoulder pads and sequins bad.... thank god it didn’t fit.

Some people say it is. But the air is as bad as LA was when I was there last. A lot of the businesses don’t even take care of their fronts and lots, the roads are bad. Ugh. I’m biased. I hate utah. I miss home more than anything (Colorado Springs Colorado) home was stunning. We had the garden of the gods, the incline, everything was beautiful. On 02/23/2019 at 07:20, Kris77 said:
! I’ve never been to Utah but I hear it’s beautiful -
I actually had to brave it for a pair of leggings recently and used one of my husbands shirts and it was a huge difference. I still look in the mirror and I feel strange

I have 54lbs to go. I’m going to the gym about 2-3 times a week. So that’s nice

Yes Salt Lake City utah. I live about an hour south of there in Orem. And I’m terrified of going clothes shopping. It makes me panic. I’ve always had anxiety clothes shoppingOn 02/23/2019 at 07:10, Kris77 said:
Is that Salt Lake City, Utah? -
I’ve been too scared to go to a thrift shop. I’ll be up in salt lake today maybe I’ll stop by one before I come home. I’m down to 1 pair of pants, and 1 bra that fitOn 02/23/2019 at 06:53, Kris77 said:
That’s great news!!!
Yes I know clothes are expensive so I was very appreciative of a friend who handed me down a bunch bc it was going to be a while before I could replace an entire waredrobe (I didn’t have ton of clothes before but when you don’t fit into any sure feels like you have nothing)
Don’t get me wrong I am so happy to clear my entire closet and drawers out. Just stinks bc to replace everything takes time and 💰 money. Not sure if you mind second hand shops (resale) but I’ve found things there too. I love going to resale clothing shops. I’ve found some really cute items!! Just a suggestion😊

Well not knocked up. Just have some deficiencies. I need clothes. But clothes cost moneyOn 02/18/2019 at 19:20, Kris77 said:

Someone gave me a bag of clothes and they were all clothes I could fit in!! It was an awesome feeling. One I’m not use to!! -
Yes but i also had like 2 Water bottles and my pee was basically just water. I’m going to retest in the morning. Hoping it’s not this. I’ll be testing again in the morning with fmu which will give more accurate results. I want another baby but I’m loving going to the gym and killing it. I’m enjoying working on me. And man I can lift a 50 lb trey of cheese at work!! I couldn’t do that before!! I don’t need another baby right now. We’re planning a renewal of the vows and I need to fit in a wedding dress next year!! I’m aming for size 6!On 02/18/2019 at 18:52, Kris77 said:

I just checked fertility friend thinking hmm it’d been a while since my last period.. ladies I was starving and still had my period. Lately I’ve been nauseous and craving salty things...: the last time that happened I was pregnant. On bc. It’s been 112 days and I’m now freaking out!!

Y’all know how they preach that weight loss won’t solve all your problems?? Well it’s solving mine. My confidence has grown, I’m happier, I’m doing better financially, I’m making better decisions. I’m actually in college and my ambition is driving me where as before I would freak out and not be able to handle it. Weight loss is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I’m down 75.4 lbs, I’ll be 6 months post op on the 21st.

I went running for the first time since surgery last night. It was magical!! I easily ran 1/2 a lap!! This is something I couldn’t do before surgery even going every night!! I’m down to 179 lbs 😍😍😍 my bmi dripped into the 20’s this morning!! I’m so much happier. :)

Im almost 5 months out and my doctor told me that I’d probably lose 70-90% in my first year and hit about 175-160 lbs. I’m down to 180 now. So only 20 lbs to go till the 90% weight loss point. I think the way it goes is your starting weight minus your healthy weight is your excess weight and whatever you lose is a percentage of that.On 01/18/2019 at 06:20, insta_adventurer said:
Just hit 6 months and had my 6 month follow up. I’m down 40% of my excess weight (now clue where that number comes from?) and got a certificate for losing over 100lbs (since starting the program, not just post op). They said I was the poster child for the surgery, but I’m not sure why? I see people on Instagram who are crushing it with their weight loss and fitness routines... and certainly wouldn’t place myself in that club.
Eating out is a chore! Usually I’ll try to convince my husband that we should agree on a dish and split it. Most places are cool with this, just make sure to tip like you ordered two meals.
I did start to lose hair around month 5. Luckily my hair is thick, so I’ve been able to get by without drastic measures so far.
Constipation is a real drag. It’s the only complication I deal with. I just got them to up my stool softener med to twice a day. Hopefully that helps. Also- they prescribed Miralax, which I didn’t think my insurance would cover OTC meds, but they did... and it’s saving me a bundle!
