  1. I just ripped my pants. At work. My plus size dress pants could no longer contain my thighs. I don't think the rip is super noticeable because it's on the inner thigh, but I'm so embarrassed! This is further confirmation I've made the right decision.

Feeling a ton of emotions right now and none of them good...

Has anyone else had an eye-opening moment like this?

Yes!! I posted my story a few weeks ago another forum about when you knew that it was time to do something about your weight! I was at work in my uniform????

  2. @@Eclectick I repeat, I've gained weight because of immobility because of my injury and CAN NOT work my employment therefore my finances WILL NOT be back on track UNTIL I do something about this exceptional weight gain that has very much so impacted my knees which have lead me to become obese. Again, I will be having my schedule surgery on Friday for ALL health reasons. I thought that I came off a little mean with my response to comments as well as I thought some of the comments were a little harsh and that was what I really was referring to. Again, I didn't post my message for a pacifier or a pat on the back, I posted it simply because I THOUGHT that someone may have dealt with similar issues and I was looking to READ (as I like to do and UNDERSTAND) how they overcame..... I can't wait for Friday:)

  3. I was mugged at work and injured my knees in the process, I'm 4'11 and since then, I've had injections in my knee and going through physical therapy. My job requires mostly physical activity but because of this, I am unable to complete my job requirements and now receiving workers compensation which is only 75% of my normal salary. I've gained 56 pounds in a matter of months. Before this, I was an active OVERWEIGHT person who had some control. This is discouraging for me in all aspects. I don't mean to come off as mean but I just wanted to know if I could get some suggestions because I know that I'm not the only one that had/have mishaps with this pre-op thing. I am also aware that my pre-op is a little lieniate than others and I'm sure it may be according to weight and other medical reasons. I have physical limitations as well as hypertension. Thanks for posting encouragement. I'm dealing with a lot (pay cut, unable to walk, exercise, work at my place of employment seeing my friends daily, having extra cash for my children, keeping my bills up to par, struggling with access weight ect....) as many of you are too and food is my comfort..... I use to be able to walk it off:(

  4. @@Sleevarilla I didn't post for a pat on the back, there's no need for that in wrong doing, I posted my feelings because this is the place where you can get help and answers or suggestions. I'm having WLS because I have a problem and I need a tool to help me. It is my hope that that's why WLS and BP exist and we're all at this point. Some of you all can be so mean instead of HELPful and understanding :(

  5. @@beachgurl84 I am very aware of the pre-op and have been successful up until these last TWO days as I stated in my post. The purpose of the actual surgery as a tool is to help control your appetite and how much you can eat. I guess is the nervousness and jitters of the actual surgery that I'm going through, and you too will have your day at this and I'm sure it will be just as difficult as it is for everyone else. I will be having my surgery on this Friday as scheduled. Good luck with your own pre-op diet right down to the last days :)

  6. I feel like I have no self control! I can't do this pre-op by the paper to save my life! The real sad part is, it doesn't require ALL liquid :(. I'm able to eat 2 "smart" meals (smart ones, healthy choice ect) a day, 1 Greek yogurt, unlimited unsweetened liquids including popsicles, a piece of fruit and 2 Protein shakes! Instead I've eaten what I've cooked for the last 2 days baked turkey wings w/gravy and pinto Beans (it is protein) I also had 2 jerk chicken tacos!! My surgery is Friday! I only have today to get it right because Thursday is the ALL Clear Liquids day! :(

  7. September sleevers, I have 4 more days and I'm reading this very interesting book that I downloaded, the name, Skinny Jeans At Last by Dr. Cliff Thomas. A very good read seeing as though I cannot wait to wear skinny jeans and look fabulous in them❤️ congrats to the new sleevers and to tomorrow sleevers! Be encouraged, this too shall pass but um, this diet is emotionally draining for me ????

  8. Good morning guys! So I have to tell you being completely honest here yesterday after I came out of anesthesia I thought Jesus was calling me home :) but...I always have problems with nausea after surgery. Had my procedure done at 630 AM and by 10 last night I felt amazing. No pain no nausea no soreness was able to get up and move around a little still in the hospital but will be getting realized around dinner. Thanks for all the support and prayers and one more thing, I AM FINALLY POST OP! HALLELUJAH!!!! Can't wait for all my fellow September sleevers to be where I'm at :)

Lol!! Your post actually made me laugh and gave my nervousness courage for next Friday! Thanks for sharing and glad you're doing well! May your journey to health be beautiful :)

  9. I did finally figure it out but I don't see any of you guys in the group? I went to forums and it says browse at top I chose to browse by name then gastric sleeve then 2014 sleevers then. Oct 2014.. None of our posts are in there so I still don't know my way around here but if you subscribe to it then you will see new posts;)

@@happymama2014 you started your own group when you posted "new group for October sleevers" That's why you have responses here. The problem is that, you can't change the name. The name of your forum is the topic you posted, if that makes sense :)
