    Dizzy spells

@@winning_by_losing I noticed I was getting dizzy on tuesday when i was exercising too but I think it is because I was not taking deep breaths. More like rapid shallow breaths so I think that might have had something to do with it.

Eating Post Op after Gastric Bypass

I ate loads of SF popsicles mainly to keep myself hydrated, broth, and my protein drinks. I could also eat 1/2 of a yoplait light or 2 table spoons of no sugar added apple sauce but I would only do those two as my breakfast so I could sprinkle my prilosec & biotin onto them. Jello hurt to eat until week 3. i also didnt start drinking milk until week 3. Basically I stuck to broth water popsicles yogurt and applesauce for 2.5 weeks. It got boring so fast! I was so happy when I could start eating food with flavor & texture!

    Dizzy spells

Yes OMG I was getting crazy dizzy all the time. They surgeon & nurse said it was because I was not drinking enough water, and my potassium & electrolytes were low. It has gotten a lot better. I am a month out and I only get dizzy in the morning when I get out of bed.

    Eating too much too soon?

I am a month out and am having sort of the same problem too. I find depending on the food I can eat from 1/4 cup to 1 cup. So far I am down 13 lbs and have not regained anything at all. The only thing that made me nauseous was veggie chicken nuggets. other smells make me nauseous so I just haven't tried those foods yet. I was scared too that I am eating too much but I'm getting in around 800-1000 calories per day and hitting my protein and water goals each day and the surgeon said that's good.

    Protein powders

I like the syntrax nectar brand of protein. They have fruit flavors that are not milky and sometimes i will add some crystal light to make it more flavorful. Not gritty at all. I also like their vanilla protein, i mix it three ways to switch it up. I like to add orange crystal light to it so it's like a creamsicle, i also like to use the vanilla with sugar free pumpkin spice syrup and instant decaf coffee, and the last way is just the syrup and almond milk with the protein, it kinda tastes like soy eggnog that way. Syntrax is sugar free, carb free and fat free. 23 g of protein per scoop
  7. Hi all! I'm just getting ready for my surgery, should be scheduled in a couple months. I have 5 weeks left of my Kaiser class and am 22 pounds down from November 2013. Hoping to schedule my surgery in May or June of this year. All of your stories are very inspiring! :-)

just remember that you can't do any travelling for a minimum of 6 weeks after your surgery! I was supposed to go to vegas for my 1 year wedding anniversary and had to cancel it per the doc.

I think you get your surgery date when you are close to finishing the class or right after you have finished it. I'll be going to the seminar at my surgeon's office next month I think cause I missed the one for this month. I can't wait I'm super excited to keep the ball rolling. With Kaiser you have 1 year after you finish your class to schedule your surgery date.

It's pretty in depth. They give you a packet each week and you have homework.
