  2. I had my surgery one week ago. I feel so exhausted these days. I don't know if this is normal. I think I'm eating the right things. Taking vitamins. It's an effort to move. I force myself at times even walking my dog around the block a couple of times. But totally feel exhausted. Maybe it's cause I used to drink coffee all day. Could be withdrawal? Any ideas or suggestions.
  3. I am glad I read your words of hope for I already feel like an emotional roller coaster and my surgery was last Friday- not a week ago. I fluctuate between depression, mourning and restlessness. I don't know how much weight loss is expected over the first few weeks or months. Is there an average barometer so you know you are in the ball park of normal? But regardless I feel relieved and glad I was brave enough to do something about my weight. Knowing now about those hormones helps me understand what is going on.
  4. I felt pain the first 2 days following the surgery but some was anesthesia and some was gas- I feel fine now. The surgery site is sore but not pain. Took pain meds 1 or 2 days and now no need. I was pleasantly surprised to discover I'd be feeling so good in only a few days.
  5. Hi Good luck on your surgery! I just had my surgery Feb 21 and feel fine. The pre surgery diet was harder for me. I had some complications with the insurance and had to re - do everything before they approved me. Hang in there!
  6. Hi I just had my surgery on Friday. I am 63. Having trouble drinking allot of fluids - sipping water all day. But tired of water. Does the shakes count as part of fluid intake? Otherwise not so bad. Did anyone start walking allot first week? Marian Murray
  7. Hi I just read all your posts about the post op period. I'm so glad I did. It will help me prepare for what's coming next week. My supervisor at work is trying to rush me back after 2 weeks. No way! Thanks for education. My surgery is Friday.
  8. Hello. My surgery is Friday. I'm having anxiety trying to figure out what I can eat post op- or rather drink. I had a protein shake. Still hungry.
