  1. I had my surgery Monday came home Tuesday. So far I'm pain free except for a little soreness at the I incision sites. I'm so glad I did this. I'm tolerating the liquids but not the Jello. I'll wait a couple of days before I try then again. So far so good. I'm walking up and down my stairs and later this evening hubby and I are going to walk around the block to see how I feel afterwards. If I feel good then I'll start walking again, if not I'll stick to my Wiifit workout for a couple if weeks.

    Yay!!!!! You did it!!!!!!

  2. Hey guys, well tomorrow is my day April21st.. I'm Beyond anxious. Wondering is my house clean enough the the hubby ok taking over my usually duties. Dear god I hope he feeds the dog. Etc I'm shakey and anxious yet excited and impatient. I just want to do it already and start healing. Any last tips?? My anxiety is so high I feel like I am about to pass out :( I know I am being a baby but I can't help it. Starting weight was 273lbs but now I'm weighing in at 253.2lbs after the preop diet... I really want to get down to 135-145lbs. Is that likely possible? I'm 24 athletic flexible etc... Sorry I'm rambling. Good luck fellow 21st sleeves!!

Prayers for you that all will be well!!!! Excited for you.

  3. I've decided to only tell my husband and three close friends. I will discuss with my younger children, but not in detail, so they don't panic about me being away from home a few days. I went to my manager and let her know I was having a procedure and would be out a few weeks and let her know she should expect paperwork from HR regarding FMLA. Nothing else to be said.

My husband has begged me to tell me in-laws, who have always been wonderful to me in EVERY aspect, but I've decided to even keep it hush from them.

  4. I haven't been on here in a few days but I wanted to give a little update. I had my 1 week post op on Tuesday & I lost 15 lbs since the day of surgery & I'm feeling GREAT!! I got to add some new foods to my diet thank goodness. Mashed potatoes, cream of wheat, scrambled egg, vegetarian refried Beans, & yogurt. I must say it's a nice change to have something different lol. I got my first hunger feeling last night so I ate a sugar free popsicle. Just kind of worried me a little since it's the first time I felt that since surgery. Hope everyone is doing well & good luck to those with upcoming surgeries :))

Congratulations! Praying your recovery is a smooth process! Forgive me, I can be a bit of a clown....but if I go to the Dr for my one week visit and see a double digit loss on the scale I may start partying right then and there! LOL I am so excited for you! Cheers to your new life and even greater success!!!!!

  5. We are surgery twins! Lol, I was wondering hadnt seen anyone post that they were having it on the 28th. By the time I left the doctor and hospital I came home and tried to do homework. Not happening. Im just trying to stay occupied and do have the sugar free gum on hand so I can kill the chew craving. Weve got thos so just hang in there it will be done before we know!

I am also the 28th and trying to do homework too keep my mind off of surgery but not working out!!

I met with surgeon today and found out I might end up with the sleeve instead if gastric bypass. It has to do with current hernia and being able to move the intestines around.

I can say I was disappointed I feel like I shouldn't be, I am still receiving WLS but just the chance worries me.

Hopefully everyone is doing great pre-op and post-op

    We're triplets! LOL

Oh, please don't get discouraged. Just remember, no matter what the outcome, either procedure is a tool - YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

I'm in Northeast Ohio and if I need to hit 71-S so we can lean on one another to get through any aspect of this then I'll do that! We need all of the support we can get, but the best is yet to come *hugs*

  6. Im am day 3 into my liquids. Im doing 3 shakes per day, eating sf Jello and plain greek yogurts mostly. Also drinking lots of waterand gatorade. Its torture! Yesterday at my job was the chili cookoff that was just nerve wrecking. I made through though. Today ismy preop appt with the surgeon and dietician. Sirgery on the 28th and it can get here quick enough! Im in the worse mood ever my husband and children have advised me they just have to stay out of my way until surgery day because im biting their heads off. Is anyone else dealing with this and how are you easing the cranky feeling?

My surgery sister! We're twins (28th) lol

I've been experiencing all of the same. I'm actually at my preop appts now. The dr did say sugar free gum was okay for me to kill that urge to chew. My patience has been much thinner with my husband vs my sons. Poor Mr. Jones. I don't eat yogurt so I didn't ask if it was allowed, but maybe I should. The broth and Protein are boring but I'm tolerant. I had the sf jello yesterday. Didn't care for it. The upside to this, like you said, I'm down -8 as of this morning. That part made me feel good and I can feel the difference. I'm holding on to that piece of happiness to carry me into surgery on the 28th. My little bit of motivation.

  7. Surgery is tomorrow morning!!!! Check in at 8am and surgery scheduled for 10am! So glad this 2 week preop diet is over 14 pounds down!! Now to get past tomorrow!!! I can't believe the day has finally got here. Thanks for all the love and support from each of you! Good luck to everyone else that is tomorrow.

Good luck to you on your new journey!!! Praying all goes well!!!!!
