  7. @@jodie1961 yes, my surgeon was able to complete the surgery in one operation. My surgery lasted longer than normal due to a lot of scar tissue from the band(the most he had ever seen) which was apparently what was causing me to have issues all along. My pain has subsided however its still there but the doctor mentioned that this was due to the trauma my body had gone through with the Lap Band removal & RNY in one process. Today I am feeling great and have no regrets on this revision surgery wishing you the best next Tuesday good luck.
  8. @@WickedBeauty I am right there with you...woke up feeling better than I have in days. Glad you are doing well. Just saw my surgeon and had my drain removed and was so glad to say goodbye to my little friend. I am officially down 17 lbs since I left the hospital and 2 lbs away from the completion of my pre-op diet. All I can say is that I am so glad I had this procedure done.
  9. Fingers crossed...you are right at the finish line. Everything will be just fine but the wait is the hardest. Praying you get the approval soon and I'm sure he knows how important this is for you. Excited to see you on the other side.

  12. Thank you @@TLawre2!! My appointment is scheduled for tomorrow morning, however, I called my surgeon's office this morning and left a message with the office manager. She then stated that she was on vacation, however, he would call me back. He called me back shortly thereafter...love my surgeon. He then stated that what I have been experiencing is normal and he would definitely check me out further when I came in. Since I have not experienced any vomiting, redness of the area or a temperature I should not be worried. Just lots of soreness on my left side which is due to the trauma my body went through during the surgery. I have to remember that this was a major surgery and I need to chill and take time out to heal. I really appreciate you checking on me back means a lot. I'll be sure to update after tomorrow's appointment. I just hope I can proceed to the next stage and have some potatoes lol.
  13. So excited for you! Praying for you & quick recovery:) I'll be there in a week from tomorrow , yay! Can't wait to hear from you. @@tebowfan Good Luck tomorrow...keeping you in my prayers. You will do great. See you on the post op side
  14. My incisions look good. Most are healed. 2 are still in the process. One has a lil ooze today but nothing major..2 are so small and healed you can barely see them My incisions are healing well, however, did anyone have lots of swelling? I am 6 days post op and I gained 19lbs after surgery. My ankles are still very swollen as well as my belly but I notice the left side(muffin top) protrudes more than the right. I go to my follow up appointment Tuesday but just curious if anyone else has experienced this.
  15. @@Improvingme Thanks for asking. It was a rough couple of days and I made it back home yesterday evening. Things are getting better as the days go by. How are you doing? How did surgery go?

  20. I was finally discharged this afternoon. My surgeon was not comfortable letting me go yesterday since I was not getting in enough fluids. I have not had any hunger feelings so I have to keep reminding myself to drink some protein or broth every hour or so. It is starting to get easier and I am glad to have the support I do. The biggest struggle I am having is with my sisters negative vibes but I know I did what's best for me. Hope everyone is holding up well.

  22. Thanks gixxergirl! Pre-op was hard as well...I am forcing myself to drink the fluids now that I'm post up. Looks like we started this journey around the same time. Please stay in touch and congrats on your loss so far.
  23. Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes. Its been a rough few days pain and all, however I am feeling better today now that I can pass some gas (TMI sorry). I am so glad I did this and I'm sure it will get better. Still having a tough time with liquids but working on it. Keeping You all in my prayers and wishing you the best.
  24. Hello. Had surgery on the 29th and was in so much pain. The pain meds helped a lot. I am supposed to be discharged today. Hope everyone is doing well.
  25. Well, I am up and getting ready for today. My surgery was moved up to 11:30 eek. Praying for those scheduled for today as well. I am hoping that they can complete the band removal and bypass in one surgery. So glad to finally be getting rid of this horrible band.
