Juicing!
Hit up pinterest for awesome juice recipes or go to reboot with joe here is the link http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/recipes/. I have a Breville juicer and it is amazing. When I first wake up I drink a warm glass of Water with lemon and grated ginger root then I make a mean green for Breakfast. If you really want an energy kick juice some ginger root and just do a shot of it. You will think you had a Redbull. I can't wait for my surgery so I can juice again!

Please tell me the 2 week liquid diet might possibly be the hardest part?
I feel that the liquid diet is a great way to really see where your head is at. My surgery is Friday and I have had some internal battles these past 2 weeks. The head hunger is the worst especially at night so I just keep myself busy. This diet will be just a blur in time. After everything else that I have been through to get to this point, post-op living will be a breeze! I wish you luck with your surgery.

the days before surgery

Starting Two Week Pre-OP Diet Today
I cut out soda a month before hand but I ate all the things I knew I should never eat again. My fiancé and I went out to eat the night before my pre-op diet started and I enjoyed every bite of that meal. The pre-op diet is hard especially when you have to cook for your family. I tried sitting with them at dinner and drinking my cup of broth but I think it made everyone including myself feel bad. So I cook for them and I keep busy with chores while the eat. It is only 2 weeks you can do it!! Just think in a few months this will all be just a memory and you will be dropping the weight feeling fabulous about yourself.

Starting Two Week Pre-OP Diet Today
@TexasRN , As of right now no I am not scared I am just excited. I am sure the night before my surgery I will be a bundle of nerves and be scared out of my mind. The reason I chose the Gastric Sleeve was because it was irreversible. I need the permanency. I don't want the option of walking into my doctors office and asking him to take all the Fluid out of my band because I want to go pig out on a cruise. I can't wait for my surgery day!! You will be great and I am looking forward to hearing how everything went for you!!

My surgery is on April 4th and I am on day 3 of my pre-op diet. I am not feeling nervous yet, but I go in for my pre-op testing at the hospital this Friday and I think that is when all the pre-surgery nerves will set in. Congratulations on your new journey!

Starting Two Week Pre-OP Diet Today
I am on day 3 of the pre-op diet. The first 2 days were torture since I had to go to a family BBQ and smell all of the yummy food. I also had terrible headache and was cranky. Today I woke up and I feel so much better. Trust me the temptation of food is a struggle but stick to your guns all this will be worth it in the end. Good Luck!

Pre-Op Diet Hell!
I am only on Day 1 of my 2 week Pre-Op diet and my head feels like it is going to explode. I am having no problem drinking the Chike chocolate Protein powder, it is actually good. I am having a problem with just feeling so tired. I took an afternoon nap which I never do and I still feel extremely exhausted. How many days did it take for you to feel normal?

Why VSG
To finally set a wedding date! Take that long awaited family photo Shop at a store that isn't Lane Bryant No longer the fat friend Not having to hear "You have such a pretty face" To sit in a flimsy plastic chair with no fear Ride any ride I want at Disney Walking by that bitch that once upon a time called me fat To run around with my sons and not feel like my heart is going to explode or my knees are going to give out To look in the mirror and be like " You Did It Bitch"

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
I have tried every new fad diet out there. I would do great for a month or so but always fell back into old habits. I lost 50lbs in 2011 and shortly after got pregnant with baby #2 and gained close to 80lbs during my pregnancy. I dropped some of the weight but I am the biggest I have ever been in my life. My fiancé wants to set a wedding date and has been begging me to have family photos done. I have never considered WLS until the day my fiancé was being silly trying to make me laugh after I had a bad day and he put on my pajama pants and they could have fit 2 or 3 of him in them. I almost threw up and I just broke down and the tears just fell down my cheeks. He felt so bad and it was not his intension to upset me. Later that night I made the decision to have WLS and spoke to him about it the next day and he said he would hold my hand and stand by me no matter what. So next week I have my first appointment with my surgeon and I should be having my surgery in mid April. I want to be able to walk down the isle and feel freaking fabulous about myself. I want to have that first family photo taken and proudly hang it in my home! I am so thankful for this forum and all of you who bravely post your adventures into WLS!
