  1. Can't wait to go to my follow up in the morning and have this JP drain removed. Maybe then I can start to feel a little bit normal.

      Why do you have a drain and what is a JP drain?

      After my surgery, they left a JP (Jackson-Pratt) drain in to keep fluid from building up and causing infection or delaying healing. It was more a nuisance than anything. Here is a picture of one: http://tickingtimebombs.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/en2410845.jpg
