    HAIR!

I am at the 4 month post op and have also started losing my hair. I have noticed it mostly when I shampoo so I have tried to stretch that out using dry shampoo. It is mostly at the part in my hair and temples. I take Biotin and am trying to increase my Protein. I also just ordered some Keranique shampoo, conditioner, hair regrowth treatment and an 8 day intensive scalp infusion treatment. I saw a commercial on tv for it and ordered it off Amazon. I don't know if it will help or not but I am willing to try anything. I have fairly thick hair so I am hoping that the hair loss will not be too bad. I will let you know if I see a difference after using the above mentioned product.
  2. I bought it before my surgery and wished I had tasted it before hand. It was possibly the most foul thing I have ever tasted. I bought it on the recommendation of the Vitamin Shoppe store clerk who raved about the taste. I looks and tastes like what I can only imagine raw sewage tastes like. I had my husband taste it as well just to be sure that it wasn't my wacked out taste buds post surgery and he agreed that it was completely awful. I switched to Centrum Silver chewable tablets and they are great. They have a pretty good taste to them and haven't upset my stomach. I asked my dr about the liquid vitamins and she agreed that they are all pretty nasty. This is just my opinion but I would not waste your money on it.

THIS is how the first 4 weeks go...

I can't wait to get to week 4, everything else is right on! Thanks for posting!!!!!
  4. I had the same problem, went back to the dr. and she said it was a pulled muscle. She gave me a refill on my pain meds but told me to start walking as well. I am still in pain but am walking every evening and hoping that it gets better. I am also trying to make sure I get in all my water and most of my protein. If it doesn't get better, you should see your dr again. Hope this helps.

    feb 2013 sleevers weigh in

Sleeved 2/27/14. Down 10 lbs since surgery, 12 lbs on pre-op diet. I had to go back to the dr for a pulled muscle in my stomach so I am just this week starting to get my walking in. I had a hard time getting in my water and protein the first week due to nausea. I am now able to get my 64 oz of water in and am up to about 52 grams of protein a day. I am hoping to get my protein up and my walking in and hope to lose more weight. I am also having a hard time with the pureed stage. Nothing seems to taste very good and I can no longer get the protein shakes down since they seem to make me feel very nauseated afterwards. I keep taking each food stage one step at a time but I am really looking forward to the soft mechanical food stage as I am so sick of liquids.
