10 years out and cannot keep weight on

even with bariatric supplements I was diagnosed two months ago with severe anemia. I am presently getting ion shots to climb out of it. Feel awful and down to 122 lbs. Now thy are checking my B12 and D levels also. Should get results next week. It took four rounds of iron shots before my blood work started to show an increase levels. LO I am go 10lb bag of ice every other day.

10 years out and cannot keep weight on

wow - thank you. so good not to be alone. Yes for whatever reason I rarely feel hungry anymore. That happened pretty much right after surgery and has never changed. I also find that when stressed food gets stuck while eating and I will throw it up. I was checked out and there is no physical reason for this so it is just stress but it discourages me from eating. Also food has a tendency to make me feel sleepy after I eat so I do not want to eat during the day as it will slow me down. My PCP has suggested weight training with minimal cardio also.So I think I will figure out how to start this. I hate food on the morning but I make sure to have at least 2 Protein shakes in the morning. I have also started drinking more Water, nutritionist's suggestion, and that seems to help with food I do eat.

    Vitamin Question For Veterans

I tried switching to non-bariatric vitamins after about 8 years. I thought that they would be okay nutritionally. and they are so much cheaper. For me I was wrong. If you look at the percentage difference between Bariatric Vitamins and regular vitamins you will be quite surprised, also the bariatric vitamins are made for us as gastric acid or other body fluids to be absorbed. I went back to Bariatric Advantage vitamins a month ago and my energy level is already so much better. I take chewables but they also make pill form. As for cost I have to remember I am worth it

6 1/2 years post-op and strange hair problems

ten years out. My hair and nails issues cleared up when I i not only started religiously taking the bariatric vitamin but also went back to 2 -3 protein shakes a day. I can not eat enough protein apparently, but with supplemental shakes hair is back to normal. The only shakes I like, mix it in the morning with my coffee is Syntrax Chocolate.
  5. I am 10 years out and have trouble keeping weight on. My gall bladder was removed shortly after weight loss surgery also. I use Protein shakes and take the Bariatric Vitamins. I rarely feel hunger and when stressed have physical difficulty eating. Doc has checked and there are no surgical reasons for this. They tell me this sometimes happens to people with the bypass surgery. As I was a stress eater prior to surgery this is so weird. Anyone else having a bit too much success with surgery?
