My poor hair. Buy a wig.

I'm four months post op. Mine started falling out 6-8 weeks after surgery. At my last appointment my dietician said it should last for about 8 weeks and then I should begin to notice baby hairs growing back. I've always had good, healthy hair. It's so thin and looks so damaged now. I'm getting several inches cut off on Monday. I'm ready for some healthy growth. But I'm down 68 pounds so I shouldn't complain!!!
  2. I had horrible pains in my shoulders for several days. I used a hearing pad and they finally went away. Eating is hard. You have to get your liquids in first and then eat. I made some tuna last night. The smallest can you can buy. I ate three bites and felt sick the rest of the night. Just takes some adjusting. I didn't have to do the swallow test. Sounds terrible.

    Any February 2014 Sleevers?

The sensation of the liquids going down goes away. For me it was pretty quickly. I remember in the beginning that was all I could think about and couldn't imagine how food would feel. My surgery was February 4 and I'm now on mushy foods. It all goes down fine. Good luck to all of you!!!
  4. Y'all will all do fine. I had mine on February 4. I was a little nervous the day before but the meds they drip in your IV sure do help with that!Good luck!

    Hey February 2014 sleevers!

I had a shot right before I left the hospital. No big deal. I'm 9 days post op and 12 pounds lighter!

    February/March 2014 sleevers

Good luck to you! Actually I'm from Texas but the surgeons in my area don't have near the experience as Dr. B.

    February/March 2014 sleevers

I had my surgery on February 4 in OKC by Dr. Broussard at WeightWise. I was cash pay but it still took a few months for me to complete the requirements for surgery. Turns out I have severe sleep apnea. Anyway my first appt with him was in October 4. I lost 18 pounds pre op and I've lost 12 since surgery. Not too bad! I'm 5'5". My starting weight was 243. The first few days I was in a little pain but it was under control. Drinking seems to get easier everyday. Dr. B wants me to drink b/t 64 and 96 oz per day. I'm getting about 80 oz. I'm ready for Tuesday when I can begin soft foods. Good luck to those that are about to do the surgery!
