    It varies with insurance, I have Avmed and they didn't require a 6 month diet, only the letter of necessity from my primary and the nutrition/psych letters.

    Try grits, maybe your tummy just needs to be introduced to it slowly. Just an idea.

    Miami Surgery

    I had my sleeve with Dr. Jacobs also, he is amazing!!! I really did not any any pain whatsoever only mild gas discomfort after surgery, when I woke up the following day I didn't feel any type of discomfort. Great experience. Good luck on your journey!
  4. How was it? Did you find any particular food that went down hard? Any recommendations or interesting ideas on what to eat? I'm ready to be done with liquids!!!

    I don't know if its wise to get the munchies with such a small stomach. (I'm not a smoker of anything but I've heard of munchies)

    2 Questions

    I'm only 9 days out, today I went to Panera bread and had a French onion Soup, I didn't eat the Bread or the onions in it, I took my time and it went down pretty well. I haven't had anything stuck or spicy foods but I'm really early in my process. Good luck to you! N go out have some soup! Haha
  8. I don't get many cold days down here in Miami, but it sounds delicious! Haha, I did stop the protein shakes, I will resume again on my puréed stage by blending chicken in my meals, thank you for the tip!

    Working out!

    4 months is early on too, but hey the important thing is that you're doing it! I think at the beginning the weight comes off on its own easily, once you reach your plateau then it's important to add a lite extra. I will def take it easy
  12. This is weird for me because I used to like protein shakes before and now I even gag. Hopefully in a few weeks I can introduce healthy smoothies.
  13. I have been taking those meds for a year, but I figured it out, it was me putting sugar in my plain yogurt lol something as small as that makes a difference
  14. I'm 5 days post- op, I have my first visit with my doctor in 2 days, I'm still on Blood pressure meds. I have experienced some tachycardia and my blood pressure it's still high even if I take my meds. Do any of you know if this is normal?
  15. Each additional BMI point is only 5 pounds, gain 10 pounds and that's it you'll get to the BMI you need.

  18. You are a trooper! Today I had a zip of a protein shake and started to gag!! I did see my doctor this afternoon and he told me that next week when I start my purée phase to blend chicken or fish with my purée so I can get protein that way
  19. Thank you all for the ideas. I saw my doctor today he told me not to worry about protein until next week, that is when I start my puréed diet. I will be blending a lot of chicken and fish! Lol
  20. Didn't know that, will keep In mind, specially if I try to use in soups.
  21. I'm not allowed yet to do smoothie with fresh fruit, I know that would help me a lot! Can't wait till I can though, it will certainly make my life easier!

  23. How interesting, I'm thinking is probably my heart compensating for my fatigue, hopefully it goes away soon!
