  1. Hey everyone. Was wondering how everyone felt at 3 months out.. I'm a little stressed that the weight loss is starting to slow down a lot. I started at 215- surgery date march 3,2014 and today (May 25th) I weigh 178. The scale isn't moving. I work out 5-6 times per week and have a pretty good diet, however I find myself grazing all day long on "healthy" snacks. Even last night, I felt like I ate way too much for a sleeved person at 3 months. Am I suppose to be feeling this way? Is it possible for the sleeve to have expanded this early on? What's going on with me...
  2. I wasn't given a protein goal, what is the norm?
  3. I've never been big on protein shakes, can I just eat high protein meats and be fine?? Will I still lose weight? I'm one month post vsg
  4. I'm on week 4 and literally SO happy, best decision of my life even with the stalls and emotional roller coaster the first month takes you through.
  5. On week 4 post op, was wondering if non fat frozen yogurt sugar free was okay ?
  6. Definitely a sign for me letting me know that I'm way done eating!
  7. Hmm I wonder what happens if you have implants??
  8. Is it possible to go through this journey without protein shakes? I hate them. All of them.
  9. Is it possible to go through this journey without protein shakes? I hate them. All of them.
  10. Well the thing is if I stop working out and just lose weight, it's possible to get a lot more loose and baggy skin correct??? I guess I just want the best of both worlds , lose weight and be toned
  11. Hey everyone- I got authorized to start working out last week from my doctor. I'm three weeks post op and have been going to the gym every other day. I noticed a 1lb weight gain this morning. Now I'm worried if I keep working out, will it slow down my weight loss? Should I hold off for a bit? I'm also coming up on the 3 week stall so I'm just thinking about everything. Based on your experiences , what have you determined about working out?
  12. Thanks hopefully a good journey!? Lol - 1day1life4now I researched at it has 18grams of sugar!!!! I thought it was unsweetened ? I'm so confused and I feel terrible about it.
  13. I had a whole entire VENTI non sweetened passion fruit tea lemonade from Starbucks and finished it in 25 minutes or so. Is this normal? I'm only 11 days post op.
  14. #teamrensterness let's not cause chaos, no need to tell everyone to rethink their surgeries (we've most likely already had them) let it be.
  15. Never been one to tan in a tanning bed. But suddenly got the urge to with the warm weather. Is it safe to tan post vsg? Have any of you done this and how soon after surgery?
  16. I'm 5'3 - 9 days post op and weigh 201 lbs Instagram - sleevedx0
  17. Hey everyone! A little update for some of you just coming out of surgery. As you can see the first 4-5 days I hated the world, had buyers remorse and wanted to curl up in a ball and freakin cry. Well , I moved pass that. I'm 8 days post op and even with the struggle being real at times, I feel so much better! I'm moving around, getting fluids in and not hating everyone and everything. However, I still miss foods of course but not like it was 4-5 days out. Thanks to everyone who supported me during that rough little patch, I'm sure I'll have many more #vents. But yes- you'll survive and it helps when you notice the pounds slithering off !
  18. I drank from a straw all day today and have been in so much pain, now I know why :/
  19. The temptation is so real right now and I am barely 2 weeks post op. What are the dangers of advancing diet? I'm too chicken but any vets want to weigh in on this?
  20. Thanks for the wonderful feedback everyone! Delamoras3 5 days post op is pretty rough, you're gonna be fighting temptation a lot (I myself am going through it) I'm learning to overcome this by chewing lots of sugar free gum, getting liquids in and taking myself out of the "temptation" spot. You might even be experiencing head hunger? I know I have ... Be patient. You'll be okay
  21. Thanks so much DanaMomto3 yeah this is not as easy as I hoped it would be. I know everyone says it's worth it, and I hope that will be the case for me. One day at a time I guess?
  22. 4 days post op and I literally feel like I am not cut out for this. I'm struggling knowing that I can't eat real food. So sick and tired of broth, it makes me nauseated even thinking about it. Popsicles and jello are pissing me off too. Id rather not eat anything then have to eat broth or smell it ever again! What is my problem? Is there anything else I should try besides chicken/beef/vegetable broth? Oh and I'm Pissed off at the world right now and in a really low funk. I'm trying to stay positive but I don't know why I'm still craving food???
  23. Hello everyone! Wanted to check in and let you know that everything went well with surgery yesterday. Right now I don't have too much pain and everything is going pretty smooth, I'm walking around and taking down my liquids easily. A few gas pain, but nothing intolerable. The worst pain I'm feeling is my throat, from the tubes they used during surgery. Let me know if you have any questions!
