Congratulations!!!! I was approved on 1/10 and have still heard nothing about a surgery date when I call the office I get a recording promising to call back as soon as they have the 2014 OR schedule. Shouldn't that be in place prior to 2014? I want this done!!! But how exciting for you! I can't wait to read your progress!

My Dr wants me to use Bariatric fusion for my liver reduction diet as well as post op. I don't have a surgery date yet but I've been sampling different flavors. I've tried chocolate, Cappuccino, vanilla and mint chocolate. They all seem to leave a metallic taste in my mouth. Is this normal with all Protein shakes? I've been mixing with Water. Do you think milk would make a big difference? I just do to spend the big money on the tub if I hate it!

I hope to get a surgery date in February. My insurance is approved, my office visit is paid and I am still waiting on a surgery date! I actually called this morning because I wanted to find out what was taking so long. I was put through to a recording that if you have not been called yet they are still waiting on the 2014 surgery schedule. What?? This is frustrating! I want this done ASAP-I want to look decent in a swim suit this summer I'm so happy for all of you with dates already!

I had twins in May 2012. They are my world, a world I want to continue to live in. I am 34 and can only remember ONE year of my life (since puberty) that I was happy with the way I looked. It was my senior year of high school and I was anorexic. I knew it was unhealthy, but man did I look great in my prom photos! The sad thing is, those are the only photos that I actually feel good about when I look at them. I look at my wedding photos and they make me sad. How did I let myself get like this? I don't put blame on my parents, but I wish they would have encouraged better eating habits, good options and exercising! I have several friends who under went WLS. A fee had the gastric bypass and they seem to be right back where they started. Others had the sleeve and look great. I decided a few months ago that I want to look that great. I want to feel great. I am fortunate not up have any other health problems, but I have tried everything on my own and nothing works. As my kids are turning two soon, I want to be able to go EVERYTHING with them. I want to go on rides with them. I want to walk through the zoo, aquarium, fairs etc. without getting tired. I want to pass along healthy eating habits to them and give be an example for them. I want to be able to say that I am thin and buy clothes from places other than Lane Bryant. I want to wear high heels without my feet killing me! I want to feel pretty. I want yo feel good about myself, for me. For my husband and for my twins That's what brought me to where I am now! I just got approved through insurance so I am just waiting on a surgery date. It can not come soon enough!

That's good news! I picked up vitamins last night and hope to get my surgery date soon!

Have been waiting on a surgery date and I got a letter in the mail today that I am low in Vitamins D, B12 and iron. Will this put a delay on my surgery? The office is closed until Monday and I really want answers!

Thanks! Are there any protein powders that you recommend? Or that give you the most for your money? My Drs recommended Bariatric Fusion but I would like other options just in case.

I have been approved by insurance to go ahead with surgery, everything has been turned into Synergy, so I am just awaiting a surgery date. I've been waiting a week already for a date and I'm getting anxious! I want this done any advice for me while I wait, or anything I should do to prepare?
