Like you, I really really wanted soda.I was really missing it. I had a small amount about 4 months post sleeve. I had no horrible side effects after but never had it again. Guess I needed a taste to find out that I really didnt miss it at all. Good luck!

I started at 349, day of surgery 4/29/14 I was 339. I am now 252. it took me a little more than a month to get out of the 300s. Best of luck on your journey!!!

Hi, I'm almost 4 mos out and have never felt tired.Im a nurse who works quite a bit of OT and am working out 6 days a week. The only time I felt sick is when I ate too much too fast, it didn't last. I had zero complications other that immediate post of nausea/ vomiting, went away in 2 days. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I would probably have spent more time planning for my immediate post op diet for when I got home from the hospital. I have not tried drinking soda yet and am not sure if I will.

I was the same way but once you are back to solid foods you will be surprised how quickly foods make you feel full.

I followed it for 13 of the 14 days I was on it. I ate normally on Easter Sunday. Didnt seem to effect my surgery. All went well.
Good Luck!

my surgery date was also 4/29 and I went back to work exactly 3 weeks later. Im a nurse who works the night shift and the first 2 shifts were tough.I think just getting used to moving around for 8 hours was the reason. Ive been fortunate enough to have time to get my food and fluids in. Gook luck!

I am officially Sleeved! Other than my blood pressure being a little high after surgery, no complications. The pain and nausea are tolerable. I am hoping all of you who were sleeved today ate doing well

Thank you all for your encouraging words. To everyone who shares my surgery day, I will say a prayer for all of us!

Hello All
Im Ed. Im having my gastric sleeve surgery this Tuesday 4/29. Made it through the 2 week pre op phase better than I expected. I thought it would be tougher but I followed it like the Dr said to. I guess at this point im a bit nervous about the surgery and thinking the worst about the pain and potential complications. this forum has been very informative thus far.
