  1. I used to go to the bathroom (#2) at least once a day, usually right when I woke up. I took pride in being very regular. Now post op I use the bathroom about every 3 days. My nut has told me I'm eating about a third of what I use to and that I won't have a bowel movement every day. She said I could take a stool softener with a laxative if I wanted and to take milk of mag if I go longer than my new norm of 3 days.
  2. Every time I eat my mother is like "You're gonna stretch your new stomach!" I have to eat! I will die of starvation if I don't eat! Get off my back! and it would help if you wouldn't bring junk food in the damn house! Out of sight, out of mind. My mother is not suppose to eat junk food. She is on dialysis yet she is constantly bringing junk into the house and no matter how hard I try sometimes I have bad days and I eat some of the crap she brings into our home. I live with her because I love her and she is on dialysis and shouldn't live alone but she should respect that I have a problem and do her best to help me! Not tempt me! and then chastise me! If I had self control I wouldn't have had to have 85% of my stomach taken out!!! Ugh! It makes me so f'ing mad!!!
  3. I was sleeved April 7th, 2014. My starting weight was 332, my pre op visit I was 330, and now I am 287. I have lost 45 pounds in 9 weeks. :-)
  4. I'm 9 weeks and 1 day out from surgery and I had my first chef salad today for dinner. It's been several hours and no problems. Im so happy! I love a good salad!
  5. Yes, it is helpful. Thank you Smashelle :-)
  6. My nut said taking 2 Flintstones vitamins a day was good enough. But I also take time released B12, calcium, D3, biotin, and vitamin c. She said if my body doesn't need all of that it will just come out as potent urine. Thank you for letting me know about the calcium and iron not being taken together. I did not know that. I don't currently take iron but will look into it.
  7. Protein and fresh fruits and veggies will cause stinky gas and bowel movements. I swear my gas could kill a small child at times. It's awful! Lol!
  8. If you don't mind my asking, what was your starting weight? How tall are you? When was your surgery? How much have you lost? You look great! Congrats on your new sexy bod! :-)
  9. Yes, I do take biotin. I have halved my dose from 10,000 to 5000. My skin is a little better but still not clear like it was pre-op.
  10. I don't think I have PCOS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. I do know that pre surgery I had a zit free face and now I have straight acne! Some are little bumps and some are huge and painful. I wash my face 2-3 times s day. Just looking for a product that is affordable and works for me. If I find one I'll let everyone know on this forum.
  11. No, I can eat just about anything now. I'm careful when trying something new I like to be at home just in case it makes me sick.
  12. I only weigh once a week, on the same scale, in my underwear. Lol!
  13. Jessie, I probably weighed more than you. I started out at 330 pounds. I've heard people who start out heavier lose faster in the beginning. Don't be discouraged! I'm just so happy to be losing anything at all!
  14. I'm 8 weeks out from surgery and down 44 pounds. Does that sounds average? Also, I'm in the 200's now! (happy dance!!! Huge smile!!! :-D)
  15. Thank you for the helpful information Lynn2win. I really appreciate it. :-)
  16. Do the Kymaro's work well? Holds ya up and in?
  17. Your throat hurts but nothing terrible. Just feels like if you were sick with a sore throat. The tube is out b4 you wake up. Plus with all the pain meds you're on, you feel very little pain. The most painful part for me was sitting up in the bed. Use a pillow to push against your tummy and either have someone help pull you up, slowly or use the bed controls to sit up as far as you can, this way you don't have to use your stomach muscles to pull yourself up out of the bed. :-)
  18. Oh thank you! I have a credit card for there too! WooHoo!! I see a trip to Cato's in the very soon future! :-)
  19. It hurts from loose skin hanging. I'm looking for girdle underwear I guess. Lol!
  20. I'm 8 weeks out tomorrow. Will an abdominal binder still help me? I need it to hold my lower stomach (muffin top) up and in.
  21. Can you get a maternity belt or the tummy sleeve at a store like Walmart? I live in a small hick town in the Midwest. Not many local options.
  22. My dietician says no more than 1200 calories a day, MAX! Plus you want to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. :-) best of luck to you.
  23. I'm also looking for some comfortable "underwear" that will support my belly. I have side and back problems due to my weight loss. Something that is affordable would be nice. Thank you. :-)
